Picking one closest to us (Brambleton), we switched to Bloo Dental in the Brambleton Town Center. Our visit was a 6-month regular checkup/cleaning, and the first impression was very good....pleasant atmosphere, and the Dentist even came out to greet us, which was nice. After our cleanings, I asked if any money was due (I knew I'd need to pay out of pocket for flouride), and they said it would be $78, which was $38 for one of us and $40 for me.....no problem....I paid it; but once I got home and looked at the statement, the statement and the line item for flouride said $30 (for one of us...didn't get the statement for myself). I called the Dental office and asked why I was charged $38 when the statement shows $30, and they said "oh, well when something isn't covered by insurance, we default to the 'office charge' (whatever that means??!)". Then I was told that in the future I would need to have each of us call individually (since we're all over 18) to make/handle our own appointments.....I said that no other dentist has required this, and asked "what if I call in and say I'm one of my sons?".....I guess that hit a nerve??.....anyway, I just received a call this morning from the Dentist, and he basically explained the whole "office charge" thing....basically justifying charging $38 for what the statement said was a $30 charge; then he asked, "is it true you asked my receptionist about calling in and saying I'm one of my sons to make appointments?"....I responded "yes". The Dentist was actually very rude on the phone....he said I would be getting a letter shortly about the issue and promptly hung up on me. An hour later I received an email letter saying we were no longer welcome as patients!! Wow!....they over-bill me, then 'fire' me, all over what amounts to about $24 ($8 each for me and my sons).....I've been in customer service for a very long time, and this is NOT the way to treat customers/clients.

I needed an implant for my upper tooth so I've been visiting different dentists to get the best quote/treatment plans but I ended up going with Dr. Chung because after some research, I found out not all implants are the same! At first I was tempted to go to the cheapest option but later I learned that's not the way to go when it comes to your teeth. Lol Dr. Chung doesn't seem to cut corners when it comes to the quality of materials used in his procedures. The materials he used for my implant was made from Switzerland and the cost of the procedure wasn't even that much more than the other dental office I went to. In fact, the final total ended up being lower because he didn't make me do all the other unnecessary treatments that the other office made me do. Overall, my experience at Lansdowne Dental Arts was extremely pleasant and I learned so much! Dr. Chung and his team were professional and knowledgeable, and I felt like I was in good hands throughout my visit. Thank you I have to say this office is just awesome! My mom had a massive abcess and was in horrendous pain. The staff was so Compassionate and gentle with her. Her infection was really bad. This was my third free consult in the area but due to high cost or lack of good patient care, I never followed through. Today, though, I recieved the best treatment and bonus his office is modern and easily accessible with parking (an issue I ran into at a previous office)! The office staff were very kind, they made sure I was comfortable, asked if I needed anything, followed up on my questions and even helped with my computer while I was in the back because I got a last minute work email! I can tell that Dr Jordan has extensive knowledge and care for his patients so...I bit the bullet and we did them right then and there - over their lunch break! I have never been so impressed with the quality of care I received and I'm usually one to shy from dentists of any kind. If you or your children need braces I highly recommend his office! Dr Jordan just called to check in after my first few hours with them - not often you see that bedside manner anymore! Can't wait to see my new smile!!!!

I called and visited several dental offices in the area for quotes in order to get a crown done before I found Dr. Garcia, and ALL of them were overpriced! Let me restate some of my previous reviews - I have been a patient of the original dentist, Dr. Nelson for over 23 years and followed him when he moved to the current location. I have been a patient of Dr. Garcia for a little over a year and I am very pleased. He has helped me with an awful fear I developed of having dental work done. He's done two crowns and a root canal for me - so I know of what I speak. So, back to Yelp.... The negative review gives this practice a undeserved 1 star rating, because if a human read the review, rather than it being rated by an algorithm, it is very apparent that the reviewer was upset that the previous dentist left abruptly and didn't prepare the staff or the patients for the change in a timely manner. She rated the dentist and the office during their first difficult week, before the staff were even used to Dr. Garcia's name yet. So, I've been told that it is a computer algorithm that recommends ratings by several factors -it does not like one star or five star ratings, it does not recommend reviewers unless they have many reviews, especially reviews of varied stars, or if they are popular, etc. Yelp prides themselves on the fact that there is no human involved in the process to keep the system as unbiased as possible - but I say that there are times a rating must be read by a human, too. This is a glaring example of that. To think that someone needing a dentist in hurry, like I did when I broke my tooth, finding this rating and choosing another dentist based on one reviewers inconsiderate review. Dr. Garcia got me right in, he was able to take care of everything in his office, a one stop shop which is a far cry from what I experienced before. So, for the record, I give Dr. Garcia and his staff a 5 star rating, and Yelp a three star rating which will give Dr. Garcia a 4 - to please an algorithm so that by some chance this review will be recommended and help counter one woman's unfair review. What a mouthful...
