This is a great pub. A short walk from Leyton Tube, it tends to fill up with football supporters on days that Leyton Orient play -- from both sides, and in 16 years I've never seen any trouble arising. The interior has a number of cosy corners with upholstered bank seating for comfort, whilst the splendid beer garden has numerous bench tables: highly recommended on a sunny day, when the pub tends to fill up. The interior is well maintained and listed thanks to its architectural interest.
There are always a number of well kept real ales on tap (the pub has won a number of CAMRA awards in the past) along with a decent selection of the usual lagers etc. Everything is well priced for London.
