With this iteration of my practice (I took some time away from private practice and am getting back into it) I knew I wanted to start off with a solid online presence and actually went LOOKING for a web designer that was also a therapist. Valerie was kind, patient, and really has a gift for understanding who I am as a clinician. She began with a detailed questionnaire - asking questions that were unexpected - and asked for samples of old "about" pages and samples of writing, and favorite images, and then a few weeks later sent me a rough draft of my new site. WOW. It was the perfect colors, elements, and words. We collaboratively continued tweaking over the next few months - adding images, editing copy, but her initial concept of the visuals was SPOT ON. She was delightful, intuitive, understood the market, how the website needed to "sound" and "feel" and "look" to grab my target audience, and she also listened to me when I felt I needed something a little different than the direction she was going. We worked very well together and I love my website so much I can't stop visiting it and just staring at each page. I feel like I'm in my own tranquil meditation room (which doesn't actually exist) in my house. And that's how I want my potential clients to feel when they arrive at my site.
