I went here with a GROUPON…read more I bought the luxury facial groupon for $39 which has a $80 value and which is supposed to last 75 minutes (according to the groupon). On Vitality Medspa's website the 'luxury facial' with the value of $80 is described (see pictures). It's supposed to include not only a cleanse, exfoliation and a mask but also extractions, a scalp/neck/shoulder massage, and more. My issue is: what was promised was not provided. I went in for the extractions but got none. I pointed this out at the end of the treatment, after the skin therapist said that he was done. I was surprised because the therapist mentioned extractions in the beginning of the session and I was sort of waiting for that (I don't care too much about products being put on my face - that's not what I came for). But I was told that he made an assessment and extractions would just make my skin worse. I was surprised that he didn't discuss his decision with me, but okay. Something else I noticed was that I went in at the same time as another lady (who never had a facial either and was willing to try one with a groupon). We both were out an hour later. She went into the room just before me, and when I came out she was already out in the reception area. So the treatment did not last 75 minutes. Later on I remembered that I was told to arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. But those 15 minutes should not be counted as spa time, of course. After the treatment, I started looking on yelp and saw Jenelle's review. That made me realize I also did not get the scalp/neck/shoulder massage, towels around the arms, etc. This together with what I described above made me realize that the company does business this way. They offer a price for a service, but then they don't deliver. And sure it was relaxing and the guy who gave me the treatment is good at what he does. Maybe this company thinks that if I am impressed with the therapists techniques and friendliness of staff that I will come back to get the non-groupon (more expensive) treatments. But that's not what I came for. And so it was not a good experience, I feel scammed, and I won't be back.

When I diet I lose 10 pounds then I plateau and gain everything back in a heartbeat practically. I get it is about lifestyle change but it is still hard to break habits. Today with just my first coaching lesson I learned so much as to why my body reacts the way it does. My body is in metabolic syndrome. I see the stats out there that the number one cause of death in America is obesity. Those obesity related diseases are killing us. I don't want that to be me. I decided to take charge of my life today. I know how to eat healthy. I know what I need to do but I am not getting it done by myself. I need to change my weight loss game so I decided to invest in a coach so I can win at this game of life. If you want to learn to play tennis you take lessons. When my children learned to drive I instantly signed them up in driving school. So it finally clicks after years of on and off again weight loss. I need help. I need to understand my body. I need to learn what is best for me. I need a professional. I kept thinking it was crazy to pay for someone to say "you shouldn't eat that" but how many times do you see someone on a cover of a magazine cuz they lost weight. I always think "whoopie they lost weight". But then again it so hard. And yes it is a newsworthy story when someone actually achieves weight lose. I also need accountability to my pocketbook and to someone who genuinely cares about my health. And that is what I got today. This coaching is very specialized. You start filling out a form and answering basic questions. They take your blood pressure. They do a body fat analysis. They also ask you to get some very specific blood tests done. With all this data they can tell you what is going on with your body and what needs to change. Today was my first experience and I learned so much. I didn't know and I study this stuff pretty often. Water amounts, proteins amounts supplement amounts have often confused me but when I had a coach look at my personal data and give me direction. I already feel a sense of accomplishment. The visit is about 2 hours and some change depending on your needs. it is in an office complex with many other businesses. And it is by appointment only. All of which I am fine with. They don't have a dedicated office space and use one of those multi-plex office spaces. This business runs efficiently and thank God because I thought it was going to be really expensive but honestly it was so reasonable. The staff doesn't rush and they really want to get to know you and exactly what needs; they can help you with. It is truly a tailored plan. I will update my review with my progress. I feel Like I am in good hands.

After waiting for more than 1 hour no sign of her, I left the place letting her know that I had to leave and I also thank her for her time.
