I only have one thing in life to look forward to each week, that is being able to donate plasma at Biomat in Pocatello. All of the staff are so nice! I feel as though they are like family, they are the only friends I have. So I genuinely look forward to each visit, and I genuinely appreciate there friendliness! Also they are very professional! The staff was very friendly, and professional. They educated me quickly and accurately being that i was a first time donor. the experience was made relaxing and inviting. I was paid immediately following the donation. The next day I received a follow up phone call to see how i was doing, and thanking me for my donation. I'm not sure why the lower rating, but for me it was a great experience. I have already scheduled my next visit for tomorrow. read more

They changed their hours and close at 7pm now. Making it impossible for me to donate due to my work schedule. So sad

I have been donating here for about 2 years. On average it takes me about an hour and a half total time. With a 55 min donation time. The machines are a bit dated so often I see the employees deal with challenges of having to stand next to you as you get your blood pumped back to you via gravity. The rates are good and bonuses are commonplace. I have never had a punctured vein or any problems with staff. They are quite friendly and ask you about your day. read more

Best Grifols I've been to! I've been donating plasma for about 15 years now. I've been to four different plasma centers in Utah Idaho and Pennsylvania and this one is by far the best. Staff is very friendly and well trained. They really work hard to get you back soon and get your donation done with. I donated today and because a person working the front counter and not fully trained came back and stuck me for my donation I wasn't able to get my blood back on the return so they are deferring me for eight weeks. Very very poor staff management. But like they said it's in the contract that things like this could happen I guess that includes the stupidity of employees read more

Had an awful experience! A member of the staff was so unprofessional and rude that I had to walk out.

Went to donate on the 17 of last month. Made a mistake and corrected it by showing proof that I have never had something that I have been tested for. I had something else and was waiting to find out if I would ever get off the list for people who can't donate. Well they took my man off the list but I am on it for life. Their corporate doesn't care if there is proof for both people only one. I have never had hepatitis and I read something right but my brain translated it as tested not diagnosed. So I will never go there ever and suggest that nobody else does if they don't want this to happen to them. read more

Since October this place went down the drain. They can't keep any employees so it takes 3+ hours. Horrible management.

This place is short staffed which in turn screws over plasma donors because they waste their day just to donate.

Comfortable,clean environment and friendly staff. Process doesn't take longer than two hours. Enjoy movies and free WiFi while saving lives.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The process of donating isn't the most pleasant thing so they really try to go the extra mile to make you as comfortable as possible! It's a very clean facility which add a level of comfort. Keep up the good work! read more

Nov 2015. Manager very unprofessional, I've been donating for awhile.. last time my screen er said my temperature was high which it wasn't I told if he could re take it because I know for a fact before I get to donate I always take my temp and I make sure its OK so I don't loose my time going for no reason. He said he couldn't and I asked to speak to their manager, he came to tell me that the temperature its accurate. I explained there's been times when its inaccurate, more than 80% of the times I go there they always re-take it, one time according to their machine My temperature was 112 which made my screen er laugh about it and she promptly re took it. Other time was 110 ; and my screen er asked me If I had been sick and said no she took it again and there was 97 it was completely fine. Very disappointed of the lack of politeness and professionalism and specially from a manager who said that if the employees re took my temperature in the past its because they were not doing their job; they were not supposed to do that. - Their thermometers they use aren't all accurate and they know they aren't doctors and I wonder myself if they will fire all of these people for not suppose to do that.. Whoever came with that rule about no re-taking it is wrong... Is like relying in their machines with a 100% accuracy... its totally going to waste my time and the chance for me and so many donors to be able to donate.. it is very ridiculous and I wouldn't recommend anyone to go this Building located at Pocatello. I dont plan in comming back. read more

First of all, the staff is almost always friendly and courteous. I say almost because there are two or three staff members who seem to always be in a bad mood, and act as though donors are an annoyance. Other than that, the staff is cheerful and try to make the experience as pleasant as possible for the donors. There are a number of staff members (most definitely not all) who are competent and talented at their jobs. Second, if you go regularly, the pay is acceptable. That ends the positive things I have to say about this establishment. Virtually every other aspect is negative. Where do I even begin? The waiting room is often dirty. The restroom is on par with what one might find at a truck stop. They are continually under-staffed, and are not ashamed to admit it (which they do loudly and often). They are always struggling to fit in breaks and lunch hours because they are so understaffed. The wait times are unacceptably long (usually 45+ minutes from the time you check in to the time you get on the donor floor), and every single time I've gone (honest to god, that's not an exaggeration) the staff explains that the reason wait times are so long is because they "just had a huge rush of people come in". I have never once seen this to be the case; on the contrary, there is usually the same number of donors in the waiting room and on the donor floor. Some of the staff seem to have personal issues with each other, and they're not afraid to let the tension spill over onto the donor floor. More than one staff member has complained to me (during the screening process, when we are alone) about the management and how poorly the place is managed. When you finally get on the donor floor, expect to twiddle your thumbs for several minutes while you wait for one of the staff to come by and set you up. Often, the person who initially sets you up will ask a second member to do the actual needle stick. I'm not sure if this is due to inadequate training, poorly distributed responsibilities, or both; but the result is longer wait times for donors. After your donation is complete, expect to wait another several minutes for someone to come by and disconnect you. The reason behind this extra wait seems to once again be due to being chronically understaffed. There's this feeling of constant panic on the donor floor as staff that is spread too thin tries desperately to fit the needs of the donors. Staff will complain to each other, loudly and in front of the donors, about how "they were supposed to be off by now", they "haven't been able to take lunch yet", and "so-and-so hasn't shown up yet despite being on the schedule". Oddly enough, there always seems to be three or four staff standing around behind the reception counter doing nothing. I also don't know how much training the staff receives, but I often feel uncomfortably as though the person sticking this enormous needle in my arm isn't 100% confident in their own training, and that makes it hard for me to feel safe. Many of the staff members are just out of high school. And the staff is so strained just with setups and disconnects that I often feel as though an actual emergency would overwhelm them. That is a very real issue, as serious health problems (and death) can occur if the machines malfunction, if you're not set up properly, or if you need to be disconnected mid-donation. I have often felt that if I started passing out during the donation process I wouldn't be able to get the attention of staff until it was too late. One time my final return (a step that usually takes 5-7 minutes) took 40 minutes because the staff didn't realize my machine's speed had simply been turned down. Those are the sorts of details that leave donors with the impression that they are NOT the priority of this business. On a less important note, they seem to only ever have two or three movies that they play on rotation. Obviously not crucial to the donation process, but still a small annoyance that if fixed would make a huge difference to the donor experience. Overall my experience here has been beyond negative in a lot of ways, and positive in very few ways. There are simple changes that management could make that would make all the difference (like hiring an appropriate number of people), but they seem content to rest the blame on staff while they hide away in the mysterious chambers of the upper floor. I'll continue to go as long as I need the additional income, but I look forward to the day when I walk out of this establishment for the last time. read more

Be prepared for a long wait time. It took me 2 1/2 hours the other day just to get screened. I can understand why though, one staff member told me they had just lost an additional four people that week. Staff is always super friendly though! However they are not afraid to let donators know how horrible management is. Every time I go in I pick up an ear full, from four days in a row without lunch, to them under staffing the floor. Which makes me uncomfortable because if something goes wrong and they are over worked and understaffed something innocent can quickly turn into a problem. Also make sure that if you are a new patient they are marking down your medial information correctly. One girl waved off something I said as unimportant and did write it down which then got ME in trouble,even though I mentioned it twice to her, when someone else saw their mistake. Great place to go for a little cash when you need it, but the best part is you're saving lives while you're at it! The phlebotomists are great and do their best to get you in and out, and to make you comfortable. :) read more
