I went 3 different times to try and donate. Each time they said my veins wasn't good enough. I left From there and went straight to CSL plasma and donated with no problem. I have been coming to the center for three years now. It is a great way to get some extra cash. The people are really nice, but the wait times seem to be getting longer and longer. I also feel they could increase the amount of money they give us each time. Also the VIP card system is not fair on really busy days and just makes people angry. Overall still a good place, but needs some improvements. read more

I used to come here a lot. The wait was always over an hour between when I come in and when the needle goes in-- and I had an appointment every time. Combined with that, the pay is terrible after the first 8 times, and the atmosphere resemble that of the DMV. Finally, they put the needle in wrong TWICE now and ruined my workouts for over a week each time. They never acknowledged that this is an issue, or at least apologized. Do not trust the coupons they send out. My girlfriend sent me on for an extra 30$ with a donation and I went and made the donation. I asked the person at check in and the person who hooked the machine up to me if I could use the coupon and they said I could use it. After completing the donation the extra 30$ never arrived. I called and talked to two people and because the email was not sent to me they wouldn't give me the 30$. Keep in mind no where in the email does it say the coupon is non transferrable. The only reason I went and risked my life donating was because of the extra 30$. They make so much money selling our plasma and could not spare 30 dollars to make it right. I feel completely scammed. I needed that money very badly to pay my cell phone bill. It's unbelievable a nationwide company would not make this right. They said there was ABSOLUTELY nothing they could do. So beware everyone don't count on this company to do the right thing. read more

There is absolutely no point in making "appointments" as indicated OK with their website. Because they'll extract plasma from anything that walks through the door with a pulse, you just wait regardless of whether you took the time to make an appointment and rearranged you schedule to accommodate said appointment. They just don't care. The binder they give you is crap. There is no concern about how the plasma wholesaler is helping save lives. They don't care if your time is wasted as long as they maximize the number of people pushed through the process. I wait close to 2 hours past my appointment time to be seen on fairly regular basis and my wife's first appointment (she even had an appointment) took 6 hours. Is that not insane? She won't even come back now. If you live close to a different company like biolife or even a non-mismanaged biotest you should go. Forty years ago there was a massive stigma when it came to plasma donation. It was perceived as low rent because it's so close to prostitution. The way Biotest interacts with its customers perpetuates the same sort of thinking. The majority of employees at this location are really amiable and claim it isn't right for people like me to make an appointment, eat the way I'm told for 24 hours, work that appointment into my life's schedule, and then spend 3 hours here. It reinforces older, aforementioned stereotypes that donating plasma is sleazy. Treat people with respect, honor appointment times (or drop the optics and eliminate them from your Web page), and be mindful of the strain your practices exert on other people's schedules. An interesting aside, it mostly the older employees (old enough to experience the stereotype I'm referring to) that treat patients poorly while the younger employees who hadn't been exposed to the ill perception of plasma donating are friendlier, nicer, and more sympathetic to this problem. Everyone under 30 years old are great; older, senior staff members need to be pulled out of the civil rights era and assume their donors have dignity and respect that should be anticipated for reciprocity (e.g be nice before people are nice to you, the same sort of behavior that would get you fired elsewhere). Anyway, like I said at the beginning: if you're going to donate plasma, frequent a different facility if you want your time and dignity to be respected. read more
