They kept trying to make me file married/jointly, when spouse and I were only briefly reconciled for VERY short time... I tried to explain this and HE wanted it filed that way to lessen his taxable income, they wouldn't listen to me when I told them we were separated 9 months of the year! They then SENT ME A NASTY LETTER telling me they completed the work and considered our business "finished". Like I would go back to them after the way I was treated! All a part of the "good old boy" club of Lancaster County! Wives are looked down on and dismissed, treated like shit!

I thought that was expensive to begin with, but I was in a rush and I trusted them (God, that was stupid of me) and now I'm learning my lesson of getting ripped off by so-called professionals the hard way. Why? Several weeks later, their bill comes in a $795?!? They LIED TO ME. It was bait and switch and abuse of CPA ethics code. I called their office to clear up this "misunderstanding" (that's me taking the high road and being nice) yet they refused to call me back and instead sent me ANOTHER BILL. In particular, Michael Smoker was very unprofessional and rude towards me. The other partners, Lee Stevens and Brian Lesher did not help me either. I do not recommend hiring Micheal Smoker as your CPA. I was the victim of his bait and switch tactics.
