This is a privately owned shop, it is very old looking inside and out and does need updating.
They sell some items of food but there is not really much choice, they also have some fresh fruit and vegetables.
The staff are fantastic and very friendly and have lots of regular customers which they know by name.
They sell newspapers and magazines and do a newspaper delivery early in the morning.
There is also a post office inside which is really the main trade in the shop and this gets very busy and you wait in the queue for ages, most of the time there is only one man serving and he can take ages to deal with you, but he is good at his job and just takes his time so it is best to choose a time when it is not going to be busy, avoid mornings and lunchtimes.
Because of the post office queue it is hard to walk round the small aisles of the shop as the queue is in the middle main aisle.
There is some parking on a dirt track to the side of the shop and parking on the road if you can find a space. read more
