I needed a dumpster for some home cleaning and minor renovation work I was doing. I had seen signs…read moreposted on other properties for Green Monster Container (GMC), a in-town small business, so I figured they were reputable. I did do some cost-comparison shopping online before calling, but pricing was pretty much the same all-around and went with GMC because they are a local business. I called in the morning because their website says if you call early enough and they have the size dumpster you need, they can get it to you same-day in all probability. I never expect "same day" anything from anyone. I spoke with Jay who was very pleasant and professional. He asked me a few basic questions, determined what size I'd probably need, and gave a price. He also said he had the dumpster available and could have it to me in a few hours. I was floored! I expected next day at the earliest! Jay himself arrived as promised a few hours later with the dumpster. In person, Jay is just as approachable and professional as he is on the phone. He even placed wooden slats under the dumpster to minimize the potential of harming my driveway. Classy. I paid my rental fee, got my receipt, and started in on my projects. A few days later, the dumpster was ready to be taken away. I called in and spoke with a lady (I can't remember her name, but it turned out to be Jay's wife) informing her the dumpster could be picked up. She said she'll have someone out in about a day or two. That was fine. I was away when the dumpster was removed, but when it was, I'd have never known I had a dumpster. No residual trash or marks/dents left behind on my driveway. All around, it was a great experience with GMC. Professional, affordable, and a sheer pleasure to do business with. My neighbors a few weeks later used GMC for their dumpster needs which was great to see. Also a friend who lives in the next town over (within GMC's coverage area) asked about my experiences and will be calling GMC for his dumpster rental needs. Supporting a smaller business is what it's all about and GMC sure earned the great reputation and business!

I've ordered bins from Junk King maybe half a dozen times over the past 5+ years. We get one almost…read moreevery year. I like the convenience of being able to order my bin online because it's a big time saver. Most of the time we've just disposed of standard waste (old wood, general recyclables, drywall, metal fencing, small pieces of junky furniture, etc.). A few times we have included yard waste and a small amount of e-waste. I've never had an issue with anything being rejected. I believe the fine print says that if you have any non-standard items they'll bill a surcharge to manage it. Sometimes I'm surprised at the high price I end up being billed, but it's a risk I take considering they don't inventory everything ahead of time. Not sure that is entirely possible anyway. 90% of the time the bins arrive in really great condition and they place them exactly where we've asked. We had an issue just one time with a door that wouldn't latch easily, but the driver figured it out. The bins have arrived on-site and been picked up as scheduled. They also say they sort everything rather than just landfilling it, which is important to me. I'll keep using Junk King.

Used them for my trash service and they…read moretold me to just "sprinkle the recycling on top" I watched as they threw the recycling right in with the rest of the garbage. Next, anytime I tried to ask them for anything their customer service person would make it extremely difficult. One time we couldn't put the trash out because we were in the hospital all night and they wouldn't work with us to figure out a way to pick it up before the next scheduled pick up because "they didn't want any of the neighbors thinking they were handing out free bees." That is insanely ridiculous, why would it be anyone's business when my trash was being picked up? Anyway, I would recommend using a different company.
