Exceptional Moving Service - Highly Recommend JNE Services…read more I had an incredible experience with JNE Services moving company during my recent move from Michigan to New York. Long-distance moves can be extremely stressful, and my drive ended up being much more unpredictable than expected. My arrival time kept changing throughout the day, which could have easily turned into a nightmare when it came time to unload the truck. Joe at JNE Services truly went above and beyond. He handled the logistics of the move like a professional and made my problem his problem. When my arrival time changed multiple times, Joe adapted quickly and adjusted the schedule so there would still be a crew ready to unload when I got to my home. His ability to plan, adjust, and solve problems on the fly made a huge difference during a very stressful day. I'm also incredibly thankful for Jerry, who worked hard and made sure everything stayed organized during the unloading process. And when staffing issues came up, Mark stepped up and helped make sure the job still got done. The crew worked efficiently and stayed until everything was completely unloaded and finished. Finding a moving company with this level of customer service, reliability, and problem-solving is rare. Joe's leadership, the crew's work ethic, and their commitment to making sure my move and unloading process went smoothly meant more than I can express. I'm extremely grateful for everything Joe, Jerry, and Mark did to make sure my move went smoothly. Because of this experience, JNE Services will absolutely be the moving company I call for any future moves or services. If you are looking for reliable movers, professional moving services, or help unloading a moving truck, I highly recommend JNE Services. **Update: I stick my money where my mouth is. I have since used J&E services for an additional unload service and two box removal services, and they continue to be reliable, trustworthy, flexible and customer first oriented. This company is my official go to for loading, unloading, trash/box removal moving forward. I continue to gush over how amazing they are.

Okay, I never thought I'd post a passionate review about a garbage & recycling business...but…read moreDuffy's has impressed me so much that it's warranted. I won't mention the company I was using before, but the old company was too expensive AND they were disrespectful (knocked over a recycle bin with a garbage truck & left the recycling strewn across the lawn). This prompted me to call around and get quotes. When I called Duffy's, someone answered the phone with a smile (i could practically hear it through the phone!) and chatted through my options. We settled on what turned out to be the perfect number of toters for my 4-unit building. What pushed me to write this review, however, was a conversation I had today. I don't recall her first name, but the woman who talked me through the new food scrap disposal options with the upcoming July 1st law change was so great. She went through all the possibilities (including doing backyard compost, which would result in less business for them) and genuinely wanted to find the best option for my situation. I have been impressed with Duffy's every time I've called...and I'm even more impressed with their price, which was about $40 less expensive than I was paying before with my previous trash disposal company. I highly recommend Duffy's if they operate in your area.

After 25 years, We got tired of Casella's rising prices and erratic pickups and messages about…read morechanges in a pickup day. That along with the local office no longer allowing you to stop there to discuss and issue (their office doors are now locked) and the fact Casella is now run all of state of Vermont. We contacted Duffys, who is owned and operated in Vermont (!)...got a better rate and moved from every-other-week service we had at Casella's to weekly pickup. We had 92+ gallon containers and now have 62+ gallon containers so effectively we have of the container space to use weekly over our previous Casella service. win-win! The staff and email/rep support at Duffys is excellent. They set up our account with paperless billing, dropped off our new containers a week prior to our first pickup with Duffys so we have plenty of time to use/fill them and their pickup times seem very similar every week. The other best part of this is that Duffys uses a truck that picks up both trash ad recycle at the same time. Both empty containers can be rolled up the driveway together now! No more having to wait for Casella's separate trash and recycle trucks to both come by. In fact during a very recent normal/non-holiday pickup week, we noticed Casella's was a day late picking up our streets recycle. So all of those customers had to wait another day to retrieve their recycle container so they could begin to use it again. We are delighted with Duffys. My neighbor asked me why I switched and once I explained basically what I say here, she made the switch to Duffys the following week! I think there will be others here on my street making the switch to Duffys in time. Casellas is a huge national company spread across the US, while Duffys is a much smaller company locally based who I feel can offer better service, have a rep who is local and who can address issues or a question and you can count on them! If you are considering switching your trash/recycle service or new in the area, please do consider contacting Duffy's before you make your decision.

This was a really disappointing experience. Whitney, the owner, responded to my request about a…read morequick turn-around cleaning of a large house, explaining that she could have a team there a couple of days later. When we discussed the details, I explained that the house is very large (over 7000 sq ft), that the house needed a deep cleaning (particularly the kitchen) and that work had to be completed by noon, but could start as early as 8. She said for a house our size it would be a team of 3 or 4 people, at $50 an hour per person. I asked to cap the charge at $400, and explained that my brother, who was at the house, would direct their priorities. This morning, 2 cleaners showed up at just before 9am. They insisted that they start at the top of the house and work their way down, even though my brother made clear that the kitchen and first floor were the priority. Three hours later, they had cleaned the top two floors but not the first floor. Because we had a hard stop, the job wasn't finished. My brother told me that they moved very slowly and that the work they completed was fairly average. I called Whitney and she apologized, saying that the team should have been there at 8, but that the dollar cap I had put on the cleaning was a big part of the problem. I certainly understand that if we had asked for the entire house to be cleaned top to bottom, but we specified priority areas because of the time and cost limitations, and the cleaners said it "wasn't their system." While I very much appreciate the quick availability, I am very disappointed by the shortcomings and I definitely would not use them again.

Zulia also increased the cost of the clean halfway through to $800 (despite sharing in writing a significantly lower estimate beforehand)- for a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath home. I communicated my disappointment with the state of the house upon completion, even sending photos of missed areas, and she maintained that she "did the best she could" and took zero accountability. I'd estimate she cleaned roughly half of what was promised.
