History
Established in 2007.
When Martin & Lorraine Woolf moved to Australia in 2000, they brought with them a traditional family recipe for biltong passed down over 3 generations. Starting from humble beginnings, they had no business plan, but after making biltong for family and friends, coupled with an intense passion for good food, they knew they had found their calling.
In 2007 we built our first website and quickly became the trusted name for ordering biltong online, with literally thousands of satisfied customers. We pride ourselves in making the best and most 'lekker' biltong available throughout Australia. This includes both "wet biltong" (biltong that is dried for less time) as well as the more traditional drier biltong.
In 2010 we opened our factory store to the public. Our biltong is made fresh twice a week, we use our own proprietary spice-mix, we don't add any preservatives, and we like it that way.
Meet the Business Owner: Lorraine W.
Lorraine personally packages the biltong for 90% of our orders. She is meticulous about quality and carefully goes out of her way to select quality pieces of biltong for each order. Over the years she has packaged thousands of biltong orders for our discerning customers -- whether you want your biltong sliced or unsliced, wet or dry, fatty or lean, shredded or in chunks, she's happy to oblige.
