No one needs McDonald's when this is available! We also tried the fringles. Another play on another fast food establishment, Frings at Harvey's. Again, this was done differently but oh so much better. A mixture of fries and onion rings topped with cheese and gravy to make poutine?! Impressive. Portions are solid and prices are reasonable. Bright and spacious restaurant with a good amount of seating. Your order is hand delivered to your seat. The best in fast food with service.

They added outdoor seating with times. The menu didn't really changed. Some new item appeared but in the end, most of the addition are mostly combination that most people did. For exemple, double cheeseburger extra cheese. This is now a Quattro. I think in the new items are chicken burger chickann, chicken strip and wally burger. They did remove a lot of the sports stuff as a decor. Three used to be a lot of signed stuff but now there's none.

It's the most hardest task to do as they are always closed and have weird limited hours at this location. I use to live close by, and everytime I drove by it was sadly closed ... However last night was the night I saw life in there .. and swerved in without hesitation lol I Took the first spot available in the parking lot and rushed inside before they close their doors aha who knows when they decide to open/close. Don't rely on the opening hours.. its not always accurate. Atmosphere: Geez a flock of people kept coming inside just like I did to get their fix. Food: Dirty Comfort just what I like. Had their Hi Boy with cheese and a poutine Hi Boyzzzzzz was awesomeeeeeeeeee 5/5 I can't recommend it enough taste sooo yummy. The patty was grilled so nicely and the cheese was oozing in so nicely on the patty. The bread is a bit stale and different .. it looks like a pancake bun lol I don't know wether I like it or not .. it's still growing on me .. I guess I'll have to try it again. Poutine: 3/5 I wish it had a bit more gravy .. the fries were delicious really liked the julienne style cut but they use mozzarella cheese instead and there was barely any gravy in my poutine .. bummer but still very delicious. Service: fast and efficient you get your food very quick and Cant complain. The cost: Very affordable like 2-4$ My hi Boy was 3.25$ and poutine was around 5$ pretty standard and cheap for what you get .. quality is around 4/5 but it's a landmark I'm guessing and it has not changed in forever. Overall, totally recommend you trying it out if you haven't been.. I know I have and I definitely will be back again! Lol it was Really good!

TL;DR/The Short Version: Delicious crispy chicken tenders…read moreand waffle fries in what feels like a micro-Food Hall environment. The Long Version: My husband and I stopped at Cali for a snack before heading back home to Ottawa. We shared a 4 pieces chicken tenders combo ($18) which came with waffle fries and a canned drink (we got a Fuse iced tea). The chicken tenders were a good size and were lean chicken breast meat. I don't know how they do it but the outside was so crispy and crunchy and the inside was moist and tender. Definitely in the top 5 chicken tenders I've ever had. The waffle fries were great too. Waffle fries are so underrated, lol. The meal came with 2 Cali sauces, which I would describe as a creamy chipotle sauce. Service was pleasant. You order and pay at the kiosk and they ask you to enter your name. They call out your name when your order is ready. There is a bit of a wait since they fry your chicken to order, but it's so worth it. The building has 3 fast-food style eateries. Totopo Tacos is on the same floor as Cali and Sama Sushi is on the lower floor. Totopo Tacos and Cali share the same dining area. I didn't go downstairs so I don't know if Sama Sushi has it's own dining area or not. It feels like a really tiny Food Hall. It looks and feels nicer than a typical Food Court. There's free parking in the shared parking lot. Review #96 (2025)

I waited a very long time to try this place out, as every time I passed by in the last year, this place was Jammed ... a huge line up so never wanted to wait in line for fried chicken. Was in Laval on a Monday and I decided Hey let's try Cali.. I always wanted to try it out but maybe I'll get lucky and there won't be too many people. To my surprise, there was a lot of people but thankfully they were already eating and they've been served so I came in at the right time to get me a chicken burger ! Yaaay! The employees are super friendly and welcoming! The menu is super simple Chicken burger, waffle fries, poutine and mac & cheese that's it .. I think ahahaa So I just ordered the chicken burger trio. With the waffle poutine and boy was it out of this world. The chicken was insanely crispy on the outside juiceeyyyyy on the inside. The Burger: 5+++++ it was the best chicken burger I've had in years like legit one of the top top burgers! Filled with so much flavour. The slaw was amazing! Who knew their pickled cabbage would taste so good in a burger? Their Cali sauce is amazing! The guy even gave me all their sauces to try out was awesome ! Super generous. The trio was like 26$ but I swear the portion sizes are extremely filling and definitely worth the price if you ask me! I recommend this place whole heartedly! Cheers!

Working in Montreal for a couple of weeks and it's dinnertime. I usually will head into downtown to…read moreget dinner, but I was feeling lazy this evening so I did some Yelp'ing around what was near me. I found Twister Burger which was didn't have a large amount of ratings, but they had a big menu so I chose them! Here's how it went. Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right off a pretty wide street that doesn't seem like a main road is this gem. There's no private parking lot so you'll have to park on the street in the neighborhood, but I didn't have a hard time finding space. Once inside you're transported back to like... the 40s? 50s? Whenever the soda fountain era was with the black/white checkered walls, neon lights and the whole thing. Lol. It was cute. The restaurant is fairly small and that's okay! It makes for a more comfortable and cozy feel. I got my food to go so I didn't have to stay long. Service: The gentlemen behind the counter was very helpful and make sure I got everything that I needed. He also helped me since most of the menus are in French. Food: I started off with their Taco Salad, but as of now I don't see it listed on their menu anymore. Anyway, it's basically their now Southwest Salad which contains mixed greens, corn, red onion, avocado, fried tortillas and shredded cheese, served with chipotle ranch. But instead of being in a bowl, it's in a fluffy, crispy taco shell which was very flavorful and enjoyable. It worked well. The name of the place is called Twisted Burger so I had to try at least one of them. I decided on the Trio Diablo Burger which is 130g beef (1/3 lb), jalapeños, monterrey jack cheese, habanero salsa, grilled onion, chipotle mayonnaise and lettuce, and tomatoes. It kinda slid apart in transport, but I was able to put it back together at my hotel room and it was fine. Nothing super crazy or explosive to report. It was a decent burger and satisfied my cravings for sure. The beer-battered onion rings were okay too. Nothing special and I don't think I was expecting anything out of this world either. Most beer-battered onion rings taste the same, so it's good that it's a familiar flavor to recognize. Value: My taco salad was $14.95CAD, my burger was $10.95CAD and my onion rings were $4.95CAD. This is a GREAT DEAL on the amount of food I had for sure. Looking for a cheap date, something quick, nothing fancy, I dig this place for sure.

The poutine had a some what dark sauce with loads of cheese. The burger was delicious. Cold but again that's not their fault I should of ate it there I'm sure it makes all the difference. The burger is made with real meat so it's not one of those dry pucks from McDonald's. Dressed up like a typical burger with pickles and it was awesome on sesame bun. I will 1000% try them out again but I'm going to go and pick it up myself or eat it there because the pictures online look fantastic and I know it's possible.

Amazing burger! I love how crispy the edges are and how well seasoned it is!…read more Best burger I've ever had? Not quite sure but it's probably top 10. Line is kind of crazy, I think they need a better system because once you get inside the line crosses itself which is kind of weird. Also you pick up your drink to pay at the counter but you pass the drink fridge so early that by the time you pay, it's not cold anymore LOL I would say we came around 7pm on a Tuesday and the line took 1 hour and 10 min. From order to receiving our food, it wasn't too bad, maybe 12 minutes. There's minimal seating inside but the line kind of takes up a lot in such a small space. There are some tables outside and people turnover pretty quickly.

One of the best poutine in Montréal imo…read more The fries even though they're julienne are very good, cheese curd is fresh and i really like their sauce, it's ordinary brown sauce but with a little je ne sais quoi maybe another ingredient that makes it better. Better to take it to go cause there's not lots of spaces inside. Don't expect much inside it's like a cafétéria and you have to wait in line to pay and then wait for your name to be called to have your order, but food is excellent ! But in the summer must be even better cause you can eat outside as there's a couple of tables. Their smash burgers seems excellent so I'll try it next time.

I tried their original "Buck" burger which has a regular patty, cheese, capicollo slice, hot peppers, tomato, onion and lettuce. I also opted for a poutine, which was quite good. Not sure what makes this burger place special, it seems to be an institution and widely liked by many, but the flavors were lacking. There is little to no seasoning on the patty, and no special sauce that would help make the burger pop. It's nice that you can choose how you want you bun (steamed, toasted or dipped) however the overall meal is still a little boring. Luckily the poutine sauce was delicious, it's thick and peppery and the fries were seasoned well too. If you are expecting really thick, juicy and decadent gourmet burgers, don't get the Buck. Perhaps the cheeseburger with bacon would be a better choice but make sure to ask for mayo or ketchup as they don't come by default.
