I got an oil change from Bill's. I wasn't sure if I needed my breaks changed, so they checked those for me as well and would have replaced them if necessary. Thankfully, they didn't need to get changed. Max, the person who scheduled my service, was very attentive and called me to double check that he had provided me with all the information I needed before my service. They did have a wait for scheduling that was over a week when I called (this was back in January), but that seems to be everywhere! 10/10 would recommend and will be going back! read more

My mother just moved to Lake Oswego and mentioned she didn't know where the gas stations really are yet, so when I had to fill up I looked up gas stations in downtown Lake Oswego. I popped by Bill's as it was closest and I was running on fumes. Bill (I am assuming it was the Bill) ran right up, put $10 of gas in my car (embarrassingly, it turned out I only had ten bucks in my wallet) and then asked if I had time for him to wash my windshield....um, yes! He washed it, noticed the sap that four or five other gas stations and car washes had ignored and Bill literally ran inside to grab a razor blade and cleaned it off. Needless to say, I told my mother I had found her the perfect little gas station! read more

If I could give more stars, I would! I had two business' before I came to bill's tell me I needed a new engine! Which would've been $5000 for a new one (and $2500 for a used one, with more miles than mine)! On my car that cost me $6000. I had sugar put in my filter... Bill and Co. simply filtered/cleaned everything out and replaced loose Filters and filled with clean good oil and 90% cheaper, I have my car back and running great! I am so lucky that this place was the first place I found for work on my car!! Yesterday my car broke down in the middle of the road, completely shut off, I was so stressed out and had no idea what to do. Calling a shop was all that I could think of. Bills was the closest place when I searched for a shop. I call, he answered pretty promptly thankfully because I was losing it. He told me to park it in a safe place and so I did. The next morning he came and assessed the car in its sad state and had it towed back to his shop. He made the situation much less stressful and was obviously confident in the situation, which only made things better and allowed me to relax and stop freaking out. Within 30 minutes he knew what was wrong with my car and told me he could have it done by the next day assuming no further issues with the car. I was pretty happy to hear one day and not a week or never!! Just a few hours later I got a call and was really excited to hear him say it would actually only take him until 5pm today! When I found out my rotor and brakes needed to be replaced ASAP, a friend of mine suggested going to Bill's and I was able to get an appointment the following morning. Everyone was very accommodating, friendly and efficient and the price I ended up paying was about $50 less than what the service shop I usually go to quoted me so that was a great bonus. Bill's Station is a community ICON! They participate in the Lake Oswego 4th of July parade, the Classic Car events, the Arts Festival, and all manner of community events.. oh, and the gas is ethanol FREE. Some older cars, boats, lawn equipment, etc NEED ethanol Free gas.... which is hard to find. The service here is EXCELLENT We have a BMW, a Ford, and a Chev truck...I get my fuel here, and I get my cars serviced here. This station was Mark's forever. I think for like 35 years or so... and Mark is STILL there. They have a mechanic on duty who has put in a fuse for me, changed my tail light, and done regular service. I love this station. First, it's the CUTEST station ever. (Really?.. a cute station?) REALLY. With it's clean, cute pumps, the way the attendants wash your windshields, and get you in and out in a speedy and friendly way. I RECOMMEND! read more

I first must say, that I am not the type who commonly writes online reviews. (In fact, I've NEVER written one prior to today.) However, the service here is just SO good, that I felt compelled to write a kind word. I have taken my older model Nissan to Bill's on two separate occasions now. (The first time, after my car kept re-heating and another shop couldn't find the real problem. They had tried selling me on the idea that it could be a blown head gasket potentially costing upwards of $1,500.) Um, No. That just didn't sound right to me, given the symptoms. I'm fairly certain they figured that because I'm a woman, I wouldn't know better. I did. I certainly knew well enough to pick the car up and drive it straight to Bill's! Bill's quickly identified the source of the issue and fixed it (as well as recharging my AC) for somewhere around $200. Now, fast forward to this week's visit. I was having issues with my car, so I gave them a call. They were able to squeeze me into their tight schedule and were able to get back to me the same day as to what they thought it needed. We agreed on the approach, the cost was provided, and I was told it should be ready by about 3:00 the following day. Imagine my surprise when I got a call at noon the next day, telling me my car was ready for pick up. (Apparently staff had arranged to come in early, just because they thought people might be needing their vehicles back sooner due to the upcoming holiday). When I arrived to pick up my car, the mechanic took the time to answer all of my questions. These guys are friendly and they REALLY KNOW THEIR STUFF! I don't believe I will ever be taking my car anywhere else from now on. Fabulous place. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A VOLVO. This was the worst mechanic experience I have ever had. They reassured me they worked on volvo's. We dropped our car off. After they gave us the diagnosis and the quote, we called around and realized they had quoted us 2x as much as any other volvo mechanic. They agreed to do the work for lower quote we had received so we decided to let them do the work. They kept our car a week longer than they were supposed to and when we picked it up, our car stalled on the way out of the parking lot. They finally admitted they could not fix our car but yet would not refund us the $1400 we had just paid them. We had to have our car towed from BIlls Auto Service to another volvo mechanic to have the ACTUAL problem fixed. The owner of the shop originally said he would work with us to figure out a fair refund, but when we contacted him he refused to give us any kind of refund and admitted that he only wanted to get us out of his shop. Worst mechanical service ever and now we are out $1400. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU OWN A VOLVO!!! read more
