It's also open on a Sunday, at least it is on Mother's Day thank goodness as there have been a couple of emergency visits for presents for my mother in law over the years. The prices aren't the cheapest, but neither are they outrageously expensive and the service is great. I prefer this place to the other options in Kings Heath itself. When we had to use their services for a sad occasion, they made it a whole lot easier and the bouquets were beautiful.

The shop is a of burst of colour, fragrance and oooh, just general niceness! There are plans to open up a large area at the rear of the shop soon as a wedding show-area. Whoops-A-Daisy are in good stead to specialise in this field; when I'm in the shop a lady pops in to thank the florist for the bouquet she created for a recent wedding. While the name Whoops-A-Daisy suggests an accident, it seems the owner here can't put a foot wrong.

This is the one place where I buy flowers from when it comes to celebrating family birthdays, Valentines Day, Mothers Day etc. Every time I have visited Posies Florist, it is obvious that the shop owners know their flowers inside out and are familiar with all the flowers they offer which is great to know. I have found some flowers to be on the expensive side and have kept away from buying them. However the majority of flowers are at reasonable prices in my view and are definitely worth the money. Because I buy my flowers from Posies, I am already familiar with the staff working at the Florist. And I have to say the staff are first-class when it comes service and personal care. They really do take pride in what they do and it comes across in abundance.

Sniff it, people. This particular florist is a little unusual for a couple of reasons. FIrstly, there didn't seem to be actually all that many flowers. They have a lot of general decorative paraphernalia, which is nice, but they mostly take orders for flowers, hence not being knee-deep in gerberas. They are also next to the Co-op funeral parlour, which is, of course, sensible, but also a little morbid. For people that just want some flowers to brighten up the place, that is, rather than being constantly reminded of death. In fact, there is an adjoining door between the two businesses, which, again, is all very practical but just seems a bit.... conveyor-belt funeral style to me. They clearly also cater for happier occasions also, with lots of 'New Baby' displays, which brightens the place up a bit. Birth, death and flowers. She is extremely creative, and will arrange anything modern or traditional for a fixed price. She arranged my wedding flowers and seemed to know exactly what I wanted and what suited my style of wedding without me asking. Can park right outside for free. We had never been here before but it was convenient to the care home she had been staying in. From the moment we entered the shop we were made to feel so welcome and at ease. Nothing was too much trouble to assist us in choosing the flowers in what was a very sad time for us. Today Friday 7th February we collected the flower arrangements. When we were shown the flower arrangement my wife was overcome with emotion and tears. They were beautiful and everything she wanted and beyond hers and my expectations. What a wonderful skill and talent Sarah and her colleagues have. Outstanding value and far better than we have had before. Although we live some distance away we will be back and highly recommend you to pay a visit. To Sarah and colleagues a big big thank you for your understanding, empathy and brilliant work. X
