I like many others I suspect today, am a very busy individual. Which is likely the reason many of us just do not find the time to write a review when it is positive. It is far easier to take the time to write about a negative experience. Well today I am taking of my very limited time and writing a positive review. Especially, as it is so richly deserved. The team at Bear and Son Automotive Repair located at 2612 S. Springfield in Bolivar are top notch and without question a cut above! They might not be one of the big companies out there but I promise you what they will do in so far as quality of service, full in complete communication and total customer satisfaction is GIGANTIC! And yet, it is readily identifiable that their intent and desire IS NOT to charge as much as is humanly possible. Like we were recently experiencing elsewhere. Quite the opposite. It really all starts with Kandis. She is at the front desk when you enter their office. I believe she wakes up every day with the goal of making a difference with anyone in need of their services. I know that is exactly what she did for us! They do not just quote a cost for something but they actually provided us with pictures as to why the cost. Something I will never forget is at the end of everything as I was complimenting them, Kandis saying "We always take care of our customers." It wasn't calculated or simply stated. I could tell it was heartfelt and obviously something they all make every possible attempt to accomplish. I just can not say enough about Bear and Son Automotive Repair. Even the service technician we dealt with was extremely accomodating! Make absolutely no mistake you can not go wrong by going to Bear and Son Automotive Repair. And just FYI. This review has been written by one who quite unexpectedly had to spend a real and significant pretty penny if you know what I mean for repair services. Truth is this would not have been the case if the other so called big guys that serviced our formerly PENSKE box truck on the regular, would have been doing there job in stead of just taking our money. It's simple, Go to Bear and Son Automotive Repair! By the way, contrary to what I saw posted on my profile and attempted to update. And if there was any complaints about anything . all I had to do is take my car up there and the mechanic fix it no questions asked. they are very caring and professional. My brother, Brian, went to Jim Rush in Bolivar this past week to look at trucks. He drove there in…read moreDad's 1975 Chevy 4X4 that is used on the farm as a work truck. (And of course the truck runs much better then it looks.) Brian started looking at late model used trucks. The salesman came out and was a jerk. He from the start labeled Brian as someone who was wasting his time and couldn't afford to buy a new truck based on what he had driven to the dealership. I guess the salesman has never seen a farmer in a farm truck before. Brian wanted to look at a truck and the salesman didn't want him to even open the door to look inside the vehicle. This salesman is obviously not cut out for the rural customers who decide to spend money in Bolivar versus a larger city. Brian went to Republic and today bought a 2011 GMC 2500HD with the Duramax engine. Brian was ready and able to upgrade his 2004 diesel truck he had just happened to leave at home the day he was in Bolivar. Brian told me today his experience at Jim Rush was awful. He left the dealership angrily and won't ever go back.

6 months after getting all 4 pads replaced we took my daughters car back in due to excessive…read moresquealing. Sawyer Tire CarX Bolivar, quoted us an additional $750 to now replace calipers. Took it to 2 other shops who said "that is the worst brake job they have ever seen" and to "get a full refund". Nothing was greased. Pads were slapped on and only making partial contact. Pins were ceased. and one caliper bracket should have been replaced then. Due to this, all 4 pads need replaced again, because of the pads not sitting properly 2 rotors need replaced. and the caliper which other shops have said would have had to have been seized at the time they put the pads on judging by the wear in the minimal amount of time. Would not recommend CarX.
