He made me feel seen, went above and beyond to make sure he did everything he could to help me out, and represented Chevy very well. I had an excellent Service Experience today at Macintyre in Lock Haven PA. I was having difficulty getting a competent Privately owned car repair shop to FIX the problem I was having with my GM Car. Most of them were guessing WRONG doing repairs that didn't have to be done, and NOT fixing the problem I reported to them. They OVER Charge, didn't ask for approval of an amount$ BEFORE they go ahead and CHARGED ME. So I called Macintyre for an appointment, brought it to their service department. No guess work they determined what the problem was, had the Wheel Bearing It needed in stock, quoted me a FIRM price and installed it.12 month, 12000 mile warranty and charged me LESS than an independent car repair shop that didn't know what they were doing. Finance department goes over and above to get you the best deal possible. There are very few car dealers that I would trust without reservation, but Billy (MacIntyre) is absolutely one of them. When my wife gave me the go-ahead this past week to trade our aging F-250, I took it straight to MacIntyre's. I showed it to Billy, picked a Silverado 3500 HD off the lot, and told him to have the paperwork ready the next day. I won't even give this business one star because they are a joke. I went to them in October of 2017 to finance my first vehicle ever. I had a really nice salesman. I told him what I wanted and he relayed the information and called me a day later and said they had the vehicle I wanted. I went to look at it and it was very nice. Drove it and was nice. They worked me out an amount. More than I wanted to spend but told me it was a great vehicle and they stood behind it and I would be very satisfied. Now mind you upon going into their establishment I told them I was a single mom raising three boys on my own and wanted a good reliable vehicle that wouldn't break me. Well you came to the right place, HAHAHA lies. I financed the vehicle on October 27th and drove away with a nice what I thought was going to be a solid good vehicle. NOT! On October 31st it was back at their location with the check engine light on. I was told oh no problem we will take care of it. A week and a half later I received it back after being told it needed a wiring harness replace and that was throwing the code. Okay no big deal. WRONG! Two weeks later I go out to start my vehicle and surprise the check engine light comes back on. I take it back to the dealership. Oh not a problem we will take care of it I am sure it is just simply and no big deal. A week later I get it back and told that it had a small evap leak and that it was all fixed. HAHA! Guess what two weeks later the check engine light comes back on. This time I take it to another garage first to have the code read. They say its a small evap leak. UMMMM isn't this what was supposedly fixed last time????? So back to the dealership I go and tell them I want it sent to a different garage to be fixed and they pay for it. Okay they do and I get it back in a day. And everything is fixed. Finally I think I am good. Weeks go by and no engine light comes on. I think good I am okay just a little hiccup but its good now I didn't buy a lemon everything is good. WRONG AGAIN! The beginning of February I am driving and all the sudden I start hearing a humming/whining noise. I contact the dealership and oh well take it someplace and find out what is wrong and contact us back and let us know. Now granted when I financed the vehicle I was told I had a three month warranty on the drive train. So I take it to a garage and have it looked at. NOW I AM CONCERNED! They tell me the noise is coming from the transmission or the transfer case. GREAT! EXCELLENT! NOT! So I call the dealership back and let them know as I was told to do. They say bring it up we will put it in the garage and see what we can do. On February 19, 2018 they tell me it is coming from the transfer case and they will not to do anything about it!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!!! Ummm what happened to my three month drive train warranty??? Oh well that expired on January 27th. I am over by 23 days. Well lets say that the three different times you had it prior to this fixing the check engine light issues that was days I didn't have it. Now granted this vehicle only has 42,000 miles on it and is a 2012 but yet they claim they won't do anything about it and that it is a great vehicle and they didn't sell me a lemon. YES YES YOU DID!!! You said oh look a female without a man she is stupid we can pull the covers over her eyes and get away with it. WRONG!!!! I will never never ever ever buy a single anything that comes from your location nor will I ever let anyone I know deal with your establishment. If I hear some stranger talking about going to this dealership I will stop them in their tracks and warn them about what kind of people they would be dealing with. read more
