I was going to pass on writing a review and move on but I've been spending 1000s on a Home I purchased with this team in November to make it in full working order. I was purchasing a home from out of state, the real estate agent, Misty, seemed accommodating and helpful at first so I put a lot of trust in her in communicating with the seller's real estate agent to make sure the things that we discussed that needed repair/clean up got done before final close of the escrow but upon reception of the home, weren't. For one, I purchased the home for the large back yard and an RV gate. Initially, they did not let me into the gate because the RV was always parked behind the gate but promised the gate was working. The inspection company mentioned in the report that they wouldn't be able to check the gate because the RV was parked behind it as well. However, both the seller's agent and my agent said that the gate was working properly. When we came to claim the house, the gate was broken, made of old wood that wouldn't properly close. This cost me $800 to remove and install a new gate because my real estate agent wasn't fully honest with me. In addition, the pictures of what was behind the gate showed a lot of trash and huge storage containers as well as an RV trailer without wheels. I specified, before escrow close, that these had to be removed and asked Misty to make sure they removed the trash and storage/trailer, and she promised they would. However, when we came they weren't. Long story short, we spent lots of time in finding someone to remove the trailer for $800 and $500 to remove other items in the yard she promised would be removed before closing but also weren't.
In addition, as a representative for the buyer, esp a buyer from out of state, I would expect the real estate agent would do a thorough inspection of the home so that small items such as broken windows/missing screens in the home would be identified and discussed with the buyer and seller's agent. These items are easily missed in a walkthrough while the home is still inhabited. Most of the windows turned out to be broken/damaged and most window screens turned out to be missing as well as damaged. I'm still not finished in fixing these but the estimates are looking to be more than $3000 for installation, repair, and replacement. Overall, the agent initially seemed especially nice and accommodating so I put a lot of trust in her honesty in representing me. However, when it came down to receiving the home in the promised condition, there were a lot of items that we discussed would be taken care of before escrow close but weren't. Because of the lack of complete transparency, the home has ended up costing me 1000s of dollars to be in the condition promised. My advice to anyone buying a home with this real estate agency is to be extra vigilant, not put full trust in their representation of you, and make sure you do your own full thorough inspection prior to escrow close. They are in just in the business of making commission. read more
