Subsequently, for the past several years I have booked Ms. Leis for important translation and interpretation jobs in the community.  These jobs included most recently a town hall by presidential candidate Tom Steyer and a program for professionals and community members on trauma, conducted by an internationally acclaimed relief organization. Ms. Leis has translated items for me as well, in one case fixing a document that did not strike that right balance between accessible language in Spanish, professional caliber communication, and accurate translation of a document originally in English.    Some translators accurately translate documents but their resulting Spanish document is too full of professional jargon and/or targeted at a higher education level with the result that some Spanish speakers  may not understand the "accurately" translated writing.  Other interpreters may successfully select more accessible words in Spanish to use  but not interpret accurately the original English, fail to keep up with a speaker and/or come across as overly informal in ways not appropriate to the situation.   Sara Leis understands and delivers on all these aspects that make up high quality translation - accuracy, accessibility, and professionalism in her work products.
