I've been seeing Dr. Kufel, aka The Fish Doc, at Bilan Chiropractic for 6 years now. He's a fantastic doctor and honestly, just being around him is good for the soul. He doesn't hesitate to call me out on my health when I'm not taking care of myself, but he isn't ugly about it. Although a complete oxymoron, he's gentle and aggressive at the same time. He truly wants his patients in the best health possible. I've recommended him to numerous people and they've never been disappointed. I can't personally speak for any other doctors, since I see Dr. Kufel, but they're all friendly! Jessica at the front desk is wonderful, always friendly, professional and very personable. She knows me by name and has since the beginning. I love the atmosphere and having pups around if I have to sit in the lobby for any reason, is nice. Tatiana is a fantastic massage therapist, she has worked wonders on me when I over do it... and let's be honest, when I under do it too!! read more

Bilan Chiropractic has literally changed my life. I've heard commercials make that claim. I've read every year they win ADN's best of the best award. But it took the testimonials of a co-worker I trust to get me to finally make an appointment. I wish I hadn't waited so long to go see Dr. Kufel. I suffered with months of severe back pain unnecessarily. When I called to make my first appointment, I had to wait two weeks due to my hectic work schedule and the length of the initial intake which is about 90 minutes. They do extensive testing, consultation, x-rays and more consulting before they even touch you. They thoroughly explain what is going on with your body and how they're going to fix it. I appreciate the large monitors in the room that allow you to see your own x-rays. It's very reassuring. After that, getting an appointment is super easy, they are very flexible! If they're open, you can pretty much walk in any time, which is wonderful. The office staff and the two resident dogs are very nice. I also appreciate the free coffee when I get there bleary-eyed first thing in the morning. I feel AMAZING after my appointments. And many problems that I didn't realize that were related to misalignment have been solved. My health has improved SIGNIFICANTLY since I started seeing Dr. Kufel at Bilan Chiropractic. If you've never seen a chiropractor, you don't know what you're missing, it really will change your life. One unforunate thing is that a lot of insurance companies consider chiropractic "alternative medicine" which is utter hogwash. It's absolutely based in scientific fact. Anyway, as a result, there may be limits to how much is covered by your insurance. The first visit is the most expensive because of the intake exam and x-rays. After that, it's much more affordable. I'm thankful that I have a federal Health Savings Account (HSA), so what my insurance doesn't cover I pay with my HSA debit card. My experience has been good, they bill the insurance first rather than expecting payment upfront. I was worried that since it's considered alternative medicine that I might have a problem with billing, but so far it's been just like any other doctor's office. :) I'm pain free and so is my wallet... I have been under Bilan Chiropractic care since 1991 and have always been treated promptly, sometimes within hours of misaligning my spine. Dr. Bilan and staff are always friendly, courteous, and work with me for payment of his excellent care. I have not always had insurance, and this allowed me to continue treatment for pain relief. Doctors are good, but beware billing system. They fail to do their job and bill your insurance and you get stuck with the bill after it's to late to bill insurance. If you prepay, you will never see the refund when they fail to bill insurance. read more

I have visited 3-4 other Chiropractors in the Anchorage area over the years and have never had that feeling of true care. They would adjust me, but when it was over, I was just a payment or other customer in a long list. When I changed over to Dr. Bilan, It felt different and I truly felt like an important customer to them. When you enter, they all know your name and ask how your day has been. It is a great welcoming atmosphere. They provide a range of services, from X-ray machine on site to massage and of course Chiropractic manipulations. I think over the 2 years I have been visiting, I have used all their services. I always feel cared for and enjoy my visits. They always strive to make me feel better. It is a great place to visit if you need Chiropractic care. Oh, the dogs are a great addition to the atmosphere. read more

If I could leave no stars I would. My wife's review of this place is terrible. This office is lacking in good staff, honesty, and integrity. My wife attempted to speak to Dr Bilan about a financial issue that happened and was told she could not speak to him even if she paid for a visit as a patient. BEWARE customers! Pay in full even if they tell you that you can make payments. She was told that she was a dishonest person by this company and denied the opportunity to clarify a situation. My wife has seen a chiropractor for over 20 years and had only been a patient here for 8 months, and this is by far the worst staff we have ever had the opportunity of working with. The office manager did not care about my wife's concerns or show any kind of consideration regarding a huge miscommunication. I must add that my wife has the evidence of the dishonesty from this business, but chose not to continue trying to fix anything, as they have shown no care to her as their patient, and do not want to consider maybe they were wrong in this matter. Never will my family ever recommend Bilan Chiropractic or go to this place EVER again. We took care of the financial issue with the credit reporting agency that they reported her to immediately, and thankfully it was not put on her credit. This place is great! I was visiting town and they squeezed me in for two visits. The new patient appointment really does take quite a long time (over 2hrs) but they are thorough. They have treatments on two kinds of machines you get hooked up to before seeing the chiropractor, so this adds additional time to each appointment. I saw Mr. Bilan himself who was confident, very competent and efficient! He took the time to explain my X-rays to me and didn't rush me at all. If I lived in Anchorage, I would be a long term patient. read more

I was visiting Anchorage for two days having come off of a cruise at Seaward. It took a while for me to find a chiropractic office that would take a one-time patient on a walk-in basis. They treated me like any other patient, listened to my needs and took excellent care of me. Dr. Adam adjusted me from head to toe. I walked out feeling huge relief. Bilan Chiropractic has been a saving grace for an aging Veteran. The Doctors treat me with patience, and understand the severity of my injuries. Doctor Mark took the time to asses not only my neck and back, but my wrist that has been bothering me for years. Absolutely love this place! The staff is incredible, especially Molly at the front counter. Very knowledgable, courteous and considering I come here mostly when my back flares up, I actually enjoy my appointments. The facility is beautiful, clean and the physical therapy equipment is exceptional. These are the best Chiropractic services which provide great physical relief in a positive and friendly environment. I see Dr. Bilan for adjustments (and new recipes ).
