I was in Montreal recently and noticed a "sale" sign on the door. I had seen Mackage in department…read morestores in DC and NYC but had never tried on any of the garments. The staff at Mackage could not have been nicer or more accommodating. I came back a couple of times to try both winter and rain gear and to figure out sizing. As it turned out, they did not have the items I liked in stock in the store in my size, and while they were available in the warehouse, theydo not mail order to the US as they have US stores. Unfortunately, given the Canadian/US Dollar exchange rate, buying garments from the US stores would have been appreciably higher, as much as a few hundred dollars higher. Still, I liked what I saw at the store and when I came home to DC I did a bit of online searching and found both the coat and rain jacket I most liked at prices that were at or below the prices in Montreal. But for the patience, time and information provided me by the Montreal staff I never would have known about either garment. I think I am going to love having a coat that is as warm as Canada Goose without the billboard sized logo and that is as stylish as Moncler at a much better price. Add to that a versatile rain jacket that I can wear casually or over a suit or sports coat, and I'm pretty satisfied. Thanks Mackage Montreal for the education on your brand and for introducing me to quality goods!

I don't like their dressing rooms, and choice of music and wish they can improve on that. Firstly,…read morethey don't have separate dressing rooms for women and men. Secondly, there is not enough ventilation in those rooms so I feel like gagging and fainting going into one of them especially when the person before me didn't take a bath or has lower standards of hygiene. Thirdly, their choice of music is so cringe. Is it difficult to put easy listening music instead of that screeching they call music? Aside from that, they do have some good choices because it is a big store.

TL;DR/The Short Version: Large, but busy and crowded store…read more More luxury brands here than other downtown Winners locations. The Longer Version: This location is inside Place Montreal Trust. It's on the most lower level of the mall. Same level as the Food Court. It has the largest selection of luxury brands of all the downtown-ish Winners (more than the Alexis Nihon, Complexe Desjardins and Peel Winners). I spotted an Yves Saint Laurent bag for $2700. They had Gucci shoes, sunglasses and hats. Some Chloe, Ferragamo, and Valentino bags too. And other brands. Their luxury brands are locked up in glass displays so you have to get a staff member to unlock it for you. The contemporary brands like Coach, Michael Kors, Ted Baker, and Kate Spade are out and about for you to handle on your own. This location is large and has a jewelry section and children's clothing and shoes as well (these sections are the first to be cut in the smaller "urban concept" stores, and even though this location is urban it's definitely a full-sized store). It has the usual women's and men's clothing and shoes and housewares. It's also always busy and crowded. So my feelings about it are mixed. I love the size and large selection but I hate the crowds. The shoes that DID manage to capture my attention, white Zespas, had a differing price point from another retailer that I knew to carry them. The price at Tozzi was somewhat higher (by 100$). I voiced this matter to the employee, and he said that if that was truly the case with the other retailer, that he would match that price easily. And true to his word, he did lower the price to match the other. I appreciated the act and was impressed by the customer service that he delivered. They truly do aim to please their clients. The ONLY concern that I had with my experience was the excess attention given to me. As a client, I like to breathe and think of my options, so I would have appreciated just a little more space from the employee. I don't particularly enjoy feeling obliged to buy, even though I truly wanted the shoes. Nevertheless, aside from this minute detail, great experience at Tozzi!
