La Reina Friendly Restaurant The first was a new, modern tapas place in the heart of downtown with pinchos tapas (where you select your own and save the toothpick to pay). My favorite choice was a salmon topped bread. It's also right across from a Las Fritas - a store of only French Fries - which looked amazing. 2. El Botijo The second was a traditional place with a dive bar feel. They served a dessert wine as well that you drank out of a super cool glass "Porron" pouring pitcher (you can buy your own version at Simple for €5,50 BTW). Here we ate delicious 3. Las Cuevas The third location was one we had already been to, but was by far my favorite. This traditional tapas place has a cool castle feeling and large outdoor seating section...and the most amazing fried brie pieces topped with a fruit jelly. SO delicious. They also have a huge menu of tapas for regular visitors and served a delicious dessert wine as well. The tour was great and our guide did a lovely job explaining Spanish traditions and the different types of tapas you can find in the city. He was also more than happy to help us with our random Spanish dialect questions and gave the tour in English as our Spanish is still in progress. I definitely recommend this tour for newbies to Valencia and repeat visitors alike. It's a great way to start your trip to the city.

I have never written a review of any form on a website before however I wanted to inform people…read morethat they should not choose to go on the glass bottom boat trip with Mundo Marino, Denia. I am a PE teacher and have led many water sports trips. I am experienced sailor and do not usually suffer from any form of sea sickness. On Tuesday 29th July my father and I went on the glass bottom boat trip at 4.30pm in Denia. My father had booked it so that we could have a fun day out together which we rarely get to do these days. We arrived at about 4.15 and were told that there was a possibility that we wouldn't be able to go out because of the rough sea. However at 4.30 we were told that the sea was fine to go out on. Within about 10 minutes of being out on the sea it was apparent for all to see that the decision to go out was the wrong one. The sea was so rough that the boat was being buffeted all over the place. The water sprayed over the sides of the boat soaking some of the customers. There were times when I thought that there was a possibility that we could capsize. It was at this point that members of the customers began feeling sick. The majority of the group required sick bags including my dad who has never felt sea sick before. As stated earlier I have never felt sea sick but I certainly did on this occasion. The old lady next to me and a young girl were sick. Despite knowing this the two young man no effort was made to go back to port. Knowing that we would not be able to make it to the secluded bay and knowing that we would not be to snorkel because of the rough sea we stayed in the same spot for at least half an hour. The small hatch on the floor was opened. The glass measured approximately 100cm x 30cm. I believe it to be false advertising to call it a glass bottom boat and only have such a small piece of glass at the bottom of the boat. Needless to say no fish were seen because of the state of the sea. It was only when my father requested that we go back to port that we eventually did. However knowing that we were going to get back early the captain decided to fill time and let the young children to steer the boat. Although this was a nice thing to do it was not appropriate as it was very apparent that a lot of the people on the boat were feeling very sick as they had sick bags held to their mouths. To make matters worse the captain then took the group on a tour of the harbour and even stopped outside the company's office and called his colleague out of the office and asked him to take a picture of us on the boat. When we docked 6 of the groups of 18 went to the ticket office and asked for a refund. The young lady working at the ticket office refused to give us a refund. She did offer us another of the trips offered by the company however we were leaving Spain the next morning. After the experience that we had just had just endured I'm sure that you will understand that we never wanted to use the company again. She pointed us to the terms and conditions that stated that they can't control matters that are out of their control such as the weather. However I stated very clearly that they were in charge of the decision as to whether we went out on the sea in the first place. I stated to them that it was extremely obvious that it was the wrong decision. It was very clear right from the outset that the sea was too rough and that we would never had been able to go snorkelling or see any fish. The weather did not change between when the captain first went out to assess the water and when the group went out to sea. The young lady did not agree with me much to my amazement. To charge me and my dad 45 Euros for a totally unpleasurable experience where we both felt incredibly sick and at times unsafe, where we did not see any fish and did not snorkel was unacceptable. I believe that the decision to go out was based on the need to make profit and not on the safety, well-being and enjoyment of the customers. They knew that they would have to reimburse the customers if we did not go out, so therefore in order to make a profit they made a decision that was to the detriment of the customers. It is my belief that the inexperience and unprofessionalism of the two young men in charge of the boat led to a completely unsatisfactory experience for the customers. The fact that we were not given a refund added insult to injury.

He picked us up at Plaça de la Verge and drove us to the first stop, Murviedro - Bodega Historica. The drive was very enjoyable and went by quick in a clean, comfortable vehicle. On the drive he was friendly and knolwedgeable communicating in perfect English about Valencia in general and started giving basic background about wine in Spain. The history and touring of the wine caves was interesting, and the wine tasting that followed was amazing with delcious wines and Johan's commentary. We purchased several wine bottles and were given two as gifts to bring home, as well as the glasses we used for tasting. We then took a quick stroll through the old town before contuning on our journey to Bodega Vera de Estenas. Here Johan showed us the grapes and vines in the field, the entire production set up, then more wine tasting. We had a nice drive back to Valencia talking more with Johan and learning about life in Spain. We handed Johan the money, and went on our way. Johan reached out and said we had overpaid (we misunderstood the cost in an email) and met us later that evening to return the overpayment! We would highly recommend this tour with Johan. His knowledge and the amazing wine was the highlight of our trip. We felt safe, well taken care of and will never think again about renting elsewhere. This place is great. We first went to Mo'bike because it was close to our flat and it had a few good reviews. I made the mistake of thinking "eh... bike rental... how hard could it be..." and the second time we rented I went to the place that happened to be in front of me at that moment. What a mistake! Chain broke... tires were too low on air and nobody there knew anything about bikes. So I'm not going to publicly shame anyone - but Mo'bike is mo'betta so go there. Nuff said.

The bike shop recommended bikes appropriate for the trip and had plenty of time to prepare the bikes for this long journey. After using one of the bikes for approx 20-30 minutes, all gears on third main gear started tripping and were unusable. We lived outside the city and had neither time nor opportunity to go back to the city with the bike. By chance, one of us could not go on the trip due to a knee injury (third one had his own bike), so the two remaining travelled by bus into the mountains. The second rental bike worked on most gears until 50 out of 160 km were done, all gears on first and second main gear started tripping out, but luckily third main gear worked more or less until the end. When delivering the bikes at Mobike again, we explained calmly what we had experienced and requested a partial refund (30€ out of approx 86€ paid in total) for the first mentioned bike. The woman at the desk became angry and denied any responsibility or refund, although we explained we were outside of the city with the bikes and soon a 160 km away into the mountains. If Mobike would have travelled out of the city to our temporary living location before the mountain trip to service the bike(s), they should have notified us about this option in advance. Instead, they refused any responsibility and blamed the customer. This is poor customer service, poor bicycle preparation and poor overall performance of MoBike. We do not recommend MoBike, stay well clear and away.
