This was the BEST experience I had in Spain…read more I loved the tour because we got to see the main parts of the Old Town in Valencia and then walk over to a secluded area to go to our dinner spot. The dinner spot had such nice ambiance and since the company owns the spot, it was a private dinner for our group. We tried multiple wines and had multiple rounds of tapas. Bogi was absolutely amazing. She's really knowledgeable about the town, the food, and the wine we tried. She was very welcoming and accommodating. I also loved the group we were with. It was a great experience and I HIGHLY recommend it! I'm not adding too many photos, because part of the fun is being surprised. You won't regret this experience!

He picked us up at Plaça de la Verge and drove us to the first stop, Murviedro - Bodega Historica. The drive was very enjoyable and went by quick in a clean, comfortable vehicle. On the drive he was friendly and knolwedgeable communicating in perfect English about Valencia in general and started giving basic background about wine in Spain. The history and touring of the wine caves was interesting, and the wine tasting that followed was amazing with delcious wines and Johan's commentary. We purchased several wine bottles and were given two as gifts to bring home, as well as the glasses we used for tasting. We then took a quick stroll through the old town before contuning on our journey to Bodega Vera de Estenas. Here Johan showed us the grapes and vines in the field, the entire production set up, then more wine tasting. We had a nice drive back to Valencia talking more with Johan and learning about life in Spain. We handed Johan the money, and went on our way. Johan reached out and said we had overpaid (we misunderstood the cost in an email) and met us later that evening to return the overpayment! We would highly recommend this tour with Johan. His knowledge and the amazing wine was the highlight of our trip. Johan was happy to answer all our questions from random Valencia facts, the differences in wine regions, and even how Cava is made. I would definitely recommend you snap up Johan for your time in Valencia if you're into wine.

Pretty small train station and not very crowded unlike Madrid Atocha or Barcelona Sants. Well…read moreconnected by bus and metro, although the latter is not as wheelchair or large suitcase friendly. I am currently sitting here waiting for my train, and writing my review. I took the metro to Jesus station, which normally had functional elevators and escalators. However one thing I've noticed about Valencia is that elevators or escalators at the train or metro stations sometimes aren't working! This was the case for me - both at start and finish, so yes I had to lug my luggage up many flights of stairs. My advice is, if you can take the bus- take the bus. Especially if you have a lot of luggage. Fortunately for me, I only had one big luggage and while annoying, it was a minor inconvenience. Will see how my arm and shoulder muscles fare later! If you're wondering how the Renfe lounge is, it's pretty basic. Offers some basic snacks like bread and donut, and some soft drinks. There's also some cava if you like something bubbly. It's quite quiet in the lounge as it doesn't seem that many folks ride in Confort from Valencia. Normally for security they don't let folks go through early, unless it's time to board. However if you're in Confort class with Renfe, you can cross through security early to access the lounge. This is nice because it saves some time and makes traveling a lot more streamlined! Overall I give this station a solid 3 stars. Easy peasy in terms of the facilities and services here on site- but, rating could be higher if public transport was a bit more wheelchair/luggage accessible across all modes of transport. Either that, or just work out your arms.

I saw the reviews and got nervous but it was too late because we had been seated already :(. The blonde manager lady was rude to me, as soon as we walked in, it didn't seem like she wanted us to eat there. The silverware was dirty, the tables and seats were covered in old food, it really put me off from eating there. We ordered 2 huge pans of paella, one chicken and rabbit and the other seafood. Yuck. I had to ask her if the seafood was fresh and she said it was, but I don't think she was being honest. The shrimp tasted like it had been sitting on a fisherman's dock for weeks in the sun- it was inedible. The bread was good though!! :) The waiters did a good job with service, they were kind and funny. Very unfortunate about the food though.
