Best cabins in Poudre Canyon. Owners were great. Cannot imagine a bad review. We loved our whole week there.

My favorite place to stay in Gould. We arrive late and the hosts had something to do that night so…read morethey made very subtle arrangements for us to get into the cabin and to get the keys. While this place looks very rustic on the outside. They were very modern and neat on the inside. They were by far the cleanest place we have stayed at in the Gould/Walden area and we've been coming up here every summer for 5 years. The hosts are super friendly and took such great care of us. Gerry (with a G) and Millie are quite crafty making purses out of cowboy boots, fur coats, hats, boots, gloves, cell phone cases, clutches and more. The breakfast buffet is served from 7:30-9:00, the website hadn't been updated with the change and said they close breakfast at 10am. We arrived at 9:30 and were quite sad to find the buffet closed, however Gerry and Millie reopened the kitchen and made breakfasts for us! We promised to show up before 9am the next morning and found a buffet of the usual items including several different breads and fruits and breakfast burritos and home made green chili! We came back around 5pm from our adventures and Gerry invited us over to the main building for homemade ice cream! What a treat. Then they shared with us the tools of their trades for the various arts and crafts they produce. Very sweet of them. We stayed in the Bear cabin and it was perfect for 4 of us. It has a queen size bed in a separate bedroom and two twin beds in a loft. The small, but very functional, kitchen included a small fridge, a convection/toaster oven, a microwave, a 2 burner stove and a sink. A great experience... we'll be back next year if not before!

We just spent two nights at this friendly place. We were greeted by Milly and her tiny dog, Toto!…read moreThis place looks very rustic and the grounds are kept in their natural state. Milly walked us over to our cabin , The Wild Rose, and even found something for us to stabilize our kickstand on our motorcycle. Just a few minutes later, her husband Jerry stopped by to introduce himself. They are very nice people and greats hosts and cooks! Breakfast is included and cooked hot and fresh when you come in. There is also fruit, cereal and pastries. You can add supper to your stay by just letting them know the day before. There is not a menu, this is more of a bed and breakfast situation. Trust me though, the meals will not disappoint. ! Ours was a melt in your mouth steak cooked exactly how we wanted it. Served with bread, salad, potato, corn and cheesecake with fresh peaches! Our cabin was spotless and so comfortable. We enjoyed time on the screened in porch. We saw moose and deer by the pond located just steps from the cabins. They also provide fishing poles if you want to fish their pond. There is so much more to say but I encourage you to check it out on your own. If you are looking for peace, quiet and beauty, this is the place! Please note that our cell service was very spotty. That is actually a relief for us but the main office does offer wifi if you need to be more in touch! You need to visit Milly, Jerry and Toto!

To start, the area in which these cabins are located is beautiful. The cabins are set along the…read moreCache la Poudre river, and because of that, there are many activities to do in and around the area, including whitewater rafting, fishing, and camping. The maintenance man, Steven, was friendly and kind. However, the same cannot be said for some other staff. One member of my family went up to the store on site, and asked for more towels, because they only had four towels in their cabin that sleeps six. She was rudely told that all cabins only get four towels, and that she would have to pay to get any extras. As for our cabin, it had seen better days. The stair treads were held in with two screws and staples, the toilet was not solidly mounted to the floor, and the master bed's springs were collapsed, turning the bed into a bowl. The general maintenance regime of the place could be described as "layering new skin over broken bones". My grandfather sat down on one of the picnic tables, only to have the rear seat board break in two. Meanwhile, some rather ratty looking tables were being repainted. Quite literally, new skin on broken bones. The cabin had no air conditioning or heater, which isn't too bad, and frankly, neither of those units would fit in this ~400 square foot cabin. In summary, the scenery and the outdoors were nice, but the cabins were generally falling apart, with a few exceptions. I don't think we're coming back.

Stayed here and love it! Great cabins, great location, great amenities, very clean, great price,…read moreand professional, very friendly and helpful staff. Plus, they have a store (and a liquor store) that's open every day - and reasonably priced if you consider where they're located. Will definitely be back. They do have wifi (kind of slow). But we're in Poudre Canyon! We're not here for internet - deal with it, go outside and have fun. Maybe go geocaching - -- that's the Amish Pokemon Go. Tons of absolute fun geocaches, make your day hikes mean something. Some wacko-bird, overly-entitled customer was running around ranting about flies and smell, lack of valet service, and cellphone signal (they do have a pay phone - how cute!). All I noticed was the smell followed her as did the flies. Later on she was eaten by a bear, so thankfully we didn't have to listen to her or smell her anymore.
