Brandon and his team were extremely responsive and meticulous in their work on my property. After…read more14 months of waiting on whatever needed to happen behind the scenes at the Beloit Utility Dept. all hurdles were cleared and the city owned lead water main from the street to my house was replaced with PVC. Without Brandon's help, I truly believe this project - that was funded by federal $ and cost me ZERO - at my property never would have happened.

We had a very disappointing experience with our basement remodel and would not recommend this…read morecontractor. (Brannon King) One of the biggest issues was that the plaster wall finish--clearly listed in our contract and fully paid for--was never completed. We received plaster/ joint compound walls. Which is not as durable as plaster and less expensive. When we brought up concerns about the quality of the work, the contractor was unable to handle any feedback and became difficult to communicate with instead of addressing the issues professionally. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of paying in full before the project was finished. Now, despite the vanity being included and already paid for, the contractor is refusing to come back and install it. This has left us with an incomplete project and additional stress trying to resolve something that should have been handled properly from the start. Overall, the lack of follow-through, poor communication, and refusal to complete agreed-upon work made this a frustrating and costly experience. We strongly advise others to be cautious and avoid paying in full before all work is completed to your satisfaction.

I've recently embraced my inner plant parent and decided to branch out (pun absolutely intended) by…read morevisiting local nurseries. Harvard Nursery did not disappoint. If it grows in soil, they probably have it. Trees? Check. Bushes? Check. Mysterious plants I couldn't identify but still bought because they looked cool? Double check. This year's hanging baskets are so outrageously colorful, they look like fireworks went off in a flower shop. I hung a few on my deck, and now my neighbors think I hired a professional landscaper or joined a gardening cult. (Maybe both.) I also built a custom planter box (Pinterest, don't fail me now) and needed something show-stopping. Enter: petunias. The Black Mamba and Mayan Sunset petunias are basically floral drama queens in the best possible way. Everything I bought here has outperformed my usual big box store plants, which tend to give up on life the moment I walk away. Even the vegetable starts are thriving like they're auditioning for a salad commercial. Meanwhile, the seeds I got from a chain store are still contemplating germination. No rush, guys. Prices are totally fair, and the staff actually knows what they're talking about, which is refreshing. I'll definitely be back -- probably with even less self control and the desire to fill more planter boxes. And maybe they can help me get a green lawn as well.
