Great customer service people. They deliver everything they promise on their part. Great neighborhood . Lots of pet owners, friendly people. The general contractor, Brad Martin is without a conscious. He bully's , miss leads, redirects, deflects and never follows thru on anything. After eleven months of living in my new Bigelow home I still can not get the things listed on our 30 day list finished. Touching up the paint replacing a dead tree. It doesn't seem that difficult of a task for a general contractor. The build is sub standard at best . Don't buy here unless you can throw money away. It's really a shame so many nice people moved here believing the contractor would follow thru instead he pushes everything out until people give up , forget or go past their warranty. OMG...Do not buy a house from Bigelow in Texas. I just purchased a home from Bigelow in the Blanco River Village in San Marcos 3 months ago. Besides the fact that they didn't have the house repairs completed before closing as promised, they didn't even show up for the walk-through prior to the closing. Probably because they knew they didn't do the work. Also, Bigelow is supposed to do major landscaping in our development and he has not done it so the front of my house looks like a huge out of control corn field. It's terrible and he is a terrible person. He tries to intimidate people. Our homeowners association is going to be taking legal action against Bigelow and several of the homeowners in our development say that they are going to independently get an attorney and sue Bigelow Homes for breach of contract. Also, when I brought my brand new house I didn't see all the flaws in the work but since I moved in I am amazed at the poor workmanship they put into the home. Doors crooked, baseboard missing, toilet lids broken etc. I know that they have nice looking homes but so do other builders so buy from someone else! Bought a home from Bigelow Homes. Was blown away at how smooth it was. I was able to check out numerous floor plans and was even able to modify an existing plan to fit my needs. Cant say enough about these guys. Lori was the lady I went through all this with and it was a dream. As far as buying a home goes (which sucks), this was a delight. I'll be back for sure. This builder is shady in all ways. The sales lady Lori just tells you what you want to hear and lies. The builder, doesn't care about anyone but himself, he is cheap. Won't pay for things he needs to and cuts as many corners as he can. DON'T BUY FROM THIS BUILDER read more

BEWARE before you buy a home from this builder.... We had a home built by Bigelow in the Plum Creek subdivision Kyle, TX which closed Dec 2014. When you start the process everything will sound perfect, their sales rep Charlene is really nice & informative. Then once you move in it's like pulling teeth to get anything fixed. It seems to be that the motto of the company is once they've got your money they don't care about you. It's on to the next sucker. The biggest issue we have had (which every neighbor with a 2-story is also having) is that they do not install separate zones for the HVAC system. When their sub contractor (BigTex HVAC) came out to explain why during the winter we set our thermostat at 70 degrees the upstairs reaches over 90 degrees, their exact words were "We just install it the way Bigelow wants it. It's wrong but we just do what they ask"???? Hello??? I asked how can this be fixed and they said there needs to be separate zones, 1 for each level. I gave the feedback to Bigelow and went through the biggest run around. Months later I got in touch with the owner, Jamie Bigelow, he now ignores me and refused to fix the junk system they installed. I would never build a home from this company again. I strongly encourage you to stay away and use another builder in the subdivision. We have more issues than just this, but this is by far the worst. One company quoted me over $10,000 to fix the system. Very frustrated to have a brand new home and the HVAC system does not function properly. Don't take my word for it, go knock on any 2-story home built by Bigelow and they will tell you they have the same problem with their HVAC system. I hope this review will prevent anyone from building a home with a company that treats their customers this way. Unless you also want to spend time in court suing them like we're having to do. I have spoken with other frustrated home owners who have also been lied to by Bigelow homes. If there was a way to give them zero stars that would be the appropriate rating. read more

Bought a Bigelow home in Plum Creek July 2015. Discovered after I moved in 5 feet of my neighbors property is in my yard. I have what is called a "dominent" yard because of this. I have to maintain their piece of property and all of their electrical junk even their big a__ loud ac unit. Their fence is attached to their house. They tried to get Bigelow to let them move their fence but he said there could be no variances in property lines. What this means is he took a piece of property lied about the property lines, moved them over so he could create more parcels of land and squeeze in more houses. 1 foot of my property is on my neighbors side of the fence. When the original homeowners get ready to resell this is going to be a f-ing nightmare. Lying stealing manipulating Jamie Biegelow. Do not buy the new housea facing greenbelts because they all have jacked up property lines. Criminal. He should be put in prison for defrauding the public and home buyers. read more
