The guys had another great day of fishing with Big Crappie. We fished with Dakota and he is full service, he had the fish off my hook and in the cooler, help with snags, and got us on the fish. We fished crappie and white bass, caught a few. Thanks again for a great day. I will be back! read more

After the horrible floods struck Hill Country just two weeks before my wife and I had a vacation scheduled there, we changed our trip plans and headed to Cedar Creek Lake. We love fishing together so we booked a morning with BigCrappie. We had a great trip with Dakota! Not always easy to find the fish in the middle of the summer but he got us on white bass and crappie. When one spot or technique didn't produce, we'd move on. Not only were we happy with the fishing results, he's a really fun young man and we enjoyed chatting with him over the course of the morning. Not a great experience but not bad either. The Fish tried to play hard to catch, but our guide did a pretty good job of tracking. The price was decent (& a military discount..$500 for 4 people). The guide filted our catch afterwards (BIG +). read more

I'm a single mom with 2 kids . One being my special needs son. I was very worried about getting him out on a boat to fish. The owner and guide at BigCrappie welcomed my son and showed him around the boat and explained everything that was going to happen during our trip. Our fishing guide helped my son the entire time and made sure to put him on fish, helping him reel them in one after another. The care and compassion that was shown to my boy is something I will never forget. We went home with a whopping 75 fish for the 3 of us and memories that will last a lifetime. Definitely recommend this company. read more

Services include 1/2 day guided trips (4-5hrs), full day guided trips (8hrs) and instructional seminar style trips. BigCrappie.com trains many other licensed professional fishing guides. Most all of the trips concentrate on catching Crappie, White Bass, Hybrid Striped Bass & Catfish. All trips are private charter trips for your group only. BigCrappie.com fishes from large bay boats and Crappie boats. Kids are encouraged to fish and the guides thoroughly enjoy teaching kids how to out "catch" Mom or Dad. BigCrappie.com thoroughly enjoys teaching the latest equipment and techniques to be successful anglers. (It's not hard, I just accidentally managed to book the wrong day!?) The boat is as nice and in good working order and clean. They supplied all life jackets we needed and a big tube to drag people around and a full tank of gas. Brittany was very thorough and explained all of the parts of the lake, what to watch out for and great instructions for driving the pontoon. We had so much fun and the lake was not busy at all. What a fun day! If you're going to Cedar Creek Lake I'd surely recommend you rent a boat from this place. Great folks, very responsive and helpful!

Everyone he talked to was so sweet and genuinely excited for him. The boat and the lake were so lovely and we got the most stunning photos with the sunset. We really appreciate everything Lone Star Marina did to make sure everything went smoothly and their customer service was amazing.
