I went to this business this morning to look for 24K gold…read more I had to leave writing this review a few hours to make sure I felt the same way - I wanted to make this review as honest as possible for other consumers. After some deep considerations my feelings and review for this location remain the same. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. The customer service is appalling. Their business model is failing & they are going to rip you off if you have white skin. I have been an investor in this type of jewellery for years and they treated me like I was buying my first ring. I asked to see if they had 24K gold rings and they said 24K is really soft, you shouldn't buy it. I replied with, I know 24K is soft, can I please see your rings. After hesitation he opened his safe to bring out his 24K gold collection. I went in looking for 1 Gold chain & 1 Ring. When I was browsing the necklace range I showed them one I recently purchased and said if they had any similar (I liked the design). Their first reaction was its poor quality,(it was actually super high quality design). I then picked out one I liked and then asked if they could provide me the weighting of it. They gave me a weight of 32 Grams. I popped this figure into my gold calculator on my phone to get a spot price. I then requested a price for the gold based on the most recent gold price. With little hesitation, no use of computers or calculators - even a phone call to get the spot price of gold, a gold price for the necklace was calculated. The calculate price was around 2x the current market spot price. They tried to charge me $3200! Any serious investor would walk out. I did not I began to question their methods of pricing the gold. This is where the already south service of the Vietnamese business landed in the black book of never return. I said wow that is SO expensive. Why is it so expensive. I just returned from Asia and got xx grams of 24k Gold jewellery for $xxxx. After the owner started getting angry at me questioning their price - spitting words at me - they replied with. You are in Australia you should pay Australian prices. (At one point they actually said go to another shop. Refusing to serve me because I was just asking some simple questions about how they valued their jewellery) This had me very cautious as to who & what price they value their gold at. For a white customer who wants to buy lots of gold they increase the price purely because we are Australian. I then asked where are they sourcing their gold jewellery from and why is there such a markup on it, they said all their gold is made jewellery is made in Australia. If I was to be honest, they need a new supplier because their gold jewellery collection is disgusting, it looked 100 years old and never polished or cleaned. Towards the end of our interaction with them just trying to buy jewellery they told us not to do business with them, because we do not have the authority to question their prices, or even ask questions based on anything we are concerned about. I give this business a 0/5 - not a 1/5 and I encourage other gold business' to trade honestly. If you are looking for jewellery - Seriously - DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. They are rude, have a poorly managed shop, and don't know how to conduct business inside Australia honestly.
