The Ugly Duckling that once was Westfield Doncaster has recently received the ultimate makeover and flourished as a stylish swan. Luxurious lounge area's to rest after intensive shopping are glittered throughout the centre and the brightly lit malls lead to over 400 shopping outlets. This shopping mall is a mix of chain stores from high street to designer fashion stores, home wares and electronics. Home to department stores Myer and David Jones, Village Cinema, Big W , Target, Safeway and Coles and countless food outlets. If your after high end designers then Chadstone is your best bet but for designers such as Alannah Hill and Max Mara then Doncaster is a more manageable option.This centre looks bigger then it feels so if your up for a shopping marathon you may feel let down by the size. But for my shopping and entertainment needs Doncaster is fantastic! The new personal shopper suite is perfect for individuals and groups who need a little fashion help, which may be useful in the upcoming party season! While not my speed I can totally appreciate its merits. The main obstacle to shopping bliss is car parking during peak periods, especially December and weekends its every car for itself. To ad insult to injury parking will cost you if you spend more then three hours in the centre. To remedy this you can pay $10 for valet parking and have your car sheltered for you. Doncaster Westfield is my pick for shopping in the Northeastern suburbs. read more

This newly refurbished shopping center is incredibly designed and furnished that as soon as I walk in I'm impressed, every single time. Doncaster is quite a large shopping center that offers almost 400 popular stores! They offer your generic well-known brands, as well as a few designer concept store. There two main things I want to say about Doncaster. First is the parking, if you chose to park in the multi-level, you'll notice that above each space is a light. Red means it's filled, white/green means its empty! No more cruising down at 2kph cursing at every single yaris/echo/jazz. You can now simply look straight down the lane and save yourself a lot of time(more for shopping!). The next thing I HAVE to mention...is the FOOD COURT. Some people hate food courts, I don't love or hate them-they're just...there. Wellll...take a visit to the Doncaster food court. I was honestly blown away the first time I went. It's like food galore! There is practically every type of cuisine you can think of! Mexican, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, kebabs, curry, pizza, pasta, fast food, soup, sandwich, fish, chicken, spud bar, ice cream, juice bar, chocolate, desserts...I could keep going you know. I have never seen so much variety in a food court...ever. It's a bit overwhelming for me because I'm a terrible decision maker and just want to eat everything in the end. The food court is very well designed, there is ample seating and the tables/chairs are all modern and stylish- and most of all, CLEAN. No sticky dirty tables here! I have been a city guy always coming into town or mozying over to Chapel Street for libations, shopping, Movies, etc. I have a new home for all of these things: Doncaster Mall. Let me be up front with you from the start...parking costs this place a shiny star. It is frustrating and i can tell you crom experience during mother's day weekend, i could not even find a place to park! Hence, i did not have an opportunity at that time to see what DM had to offer. Now, once you walk inside (i came in from the movieplex end of the mall), you are impressed. I must say, the food court and restaurants above it are fantastic and very clean. I did particularly enjoy the markets and high end section of the mall outfitted with nice leather chairs and couches - nice touch! This mall is not as far from home as is the city and parking is cut rate from the silly prices i normally pay in the CBD. A new home on the weekends for all facets of shopping and fun! read more

I want to write a review on humanity in this shopping centre. My son is a pianist, he's in grade 7 in piano while he is 12 Y. He loves to play piano in this shopping centre bcoz after this COVID and being Quarantine this place was the only way that he could show his expertise and he played there few time last year. but last night after while he was playing piano the security came and said a guy from retails had complained on playing Piano... that was very sad moment for my son... when they put a piano there and it's mentioned that expert one could play it so there is no excuse for retails to complain about it specially when this expert person is a kid. It had negative affect on my son. he got disappointed by playing piano and showing his talent to the people. read more

Ah Westfield Doncaster, kind of like Chadstone but with a calmer vibe. Even on a weekend, this place just seems to be filled with, dare I say it, nicer people. It's a place where people seem to know how to say 'excuse me' and have some concept of personal space. It's got all the big players - Myer, DJ's, Big W, Coles Woollies etc along with plenty of speciality shops to keep your wallet opening and closing. The food court has some decent places to choose from with some pretty fabulously comfy seats and tables to laze around on. Seems to be a bit more family friendly then Chaddy. Like any shopping centre on a weekend, parking can be a pain in the proverbial so my tip is to head to the outdoor parks over behind Myer. read more

I really like Westfield Doncaster. As far as I am concerned, it represents everything that a shopping mall should be about - it's huge, there's heaps of stores to satisfy your every need and want, you've got a cinemas in Village although Hoyts is my preferred one! and the first 3 hours parking is free. In addition, it's clean, well maintained and vibrant. You could literally spend hours walking around, shopping, have a look, grab some lunch or sit down and chill over a coffee. Among the stores, you'll find: Adidas, Apple (which is always so busy), ANZ, Australia Post, BankWest, Bardot, Bed Bath N' Table, Bevilles, Big W, Zara, Myer, Pandora, Cotton On, Target, David Jones, JB and plenty more! Coles can also be found on the GF and the food court is home to a broad range of eateries such as Dumpling King, Maccas, Oporto and trampoline. If you prefer Safeway (really? you do? why?!), then you'll want to head to level 1. Now, if you don't fancy the food court and want something quieter and a little bit more private, then you'll want to check out Groove Train, Jones the Grocer or Koko Black. The only downside to Westfield Doncaster I find is getting there. Those commuting will really need to catch a bus or a cab (the centre is about 15 mins from the city via the Eastern) however if you drive, well it's very easy and fairly quick to get to depending of course where you're coming from. Tired of Chaddy, Highpoint or even Melbourne Central in the city? - then make sure to head to Westfield Doncaster, it's very unlikely that it'll disappoint! read more

This is Westfields flagship shopping centre that encases all the major fashion labels for men and women alike. It underwent significant renovations approximately 5 years ago taking it from a standard Westfield to the hallowed marble floor shopping extravaganza it is today! Men: Calibre, Hugo Boss, Max & Co Ladies: Veronika Maine, Pilgrim, Alannah Hil Plenty of big name brands for other activities such as outdoor hiking/climbing/camping, general sports, running and of course a large assortment of premium brand clothing stores The ticketing system is very different - they scan your registration plates on entry and if you are under 3 hours it's free but you should use the machines to code in your plates to check just in case. There is a lot of parking but the upstairs section is generally terrible. Plenty of fresh food markets on the bottom level from fish to fruit & vegetables to providores Personally I love shopping and really enjoy coming to Melbourne and visiting this shopping centre annually for clothing, coffee and the restaurants and movies upstairs read more

One of my favourite shopping centres!! The carpark is free for the first 3hrs and after that it is not to expensive. There is electronic signs in the carpark that will guide you straight into a carpark so you don't have to drive in circles to find one. I love the Gold Class cinemas and some of the restaurants next to the cinemas. There is a great range of stores. the regulars like Dick Smith right up to the top end clothing and jewellery stores. Lots of places to eat or just have a coffee, and if you have a sweet tooth visit max Brenner or Koko Black. read more

Firstly this is a shopping centre so theres not much that differentiates it from other centres. You have to pay for parking :( but the general decore of the centre is awesome. Just don't mind the 27 different mezzanine Levels. read more

Great place!... With one unfortunate exception - the store called General Trader. Whilst the kitchenware selection is quite good the sales staff is entirely different story... They act as if they have just landed from some former Soviet block country where sales personnel attitude can be summed up as "...it would have been a nice place to work if it weren't for these annoying customers..." Hi, I am a personal shopper/stylist. I Take clients to shopping centres to shop. I find Westfield Doncaster one of the best shopping centre in Melbourne. Not only is it 10km from the CBD, but the parking is free for the first 3 hours! Getting around the centre is a breeze, really important for my work to be done efficiently, as all the stores are conveniently positioned next to each other. I will always recommend taking my client to Westfield Doncaster above any other centre. It just makes good shopping sense! read more
