I don't know why I haven't written a review earlier! I stopped in shortly after they opened today. The first thing I said was that I needed what I was brining in by Saturday. I had my husband's doctoral hood and robe with me as the hood did not have the needed attachments pieces in the back to keep it from sliding off his shoulders. The seamstress took the time to listen to what I needed to have done to it AND watched a video I had that showed how this should work. She watched it again and again and then asked me to text it to her so she could be sure to get it right. In the process of looking over the doctoral hood, she also noticed on the robe some stitching issues on one of the velevet pieces on one of the sleeves. She told me she would also fix that which is so great becaause I had not even noticed that. Later this afternoon, she called to say it was ready! I picked it up and it was perfect! She did an excellent job at both securing the hood so that it would not slide off my husband's shoulders AND she fixed the stitching on the sleeve of the robe. And....the price was very reasonable! If you have any sewing/alteration needs, this is the place to come!

1 Star- Would not trust them with anything of value…read more I reached out to FootWorks to repair a softball glove that had some sentimental value. Before dropping it off, I called ahead and was told the repair was something they could handle. I even brought it in first to confirm in person. I was told by the owner, Elizabeth, it would take a couple of weeks. It ended up taking over 3 months, and I had to follow up myself just to get an update. When the glove was finally picked up, the workmanship was extremely disappointing. The repair was incomplete, poorly executed, and not functional. There are exposed and rough areas that could actually cut someone trying to use it. This isn't just a cosmetic issue, the glove is no longer usable as is. I am currently searching for a trustworthy company to handle this glove, and a few others. What I needed was very straightforward: a clean patch and some binding repair. What I got back looks rushed, unrefined, and nowhere near professional quality. I even offered to re-string the glove myself to save time. Delays happen, and not every repair goes perfectly, but the bigger issue here is taking on work that clearly exceeded the shop's capabilities and not communicating that upfront. If you're considering bringing in something you care about, I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion or looking elsewhere. Based on my experience, I would not trust this shop with items of value or anything requiring quality craftsmanship.
