Mary did such a phenomenal job making me feel welcomed I signed up. I recently moved back to Akron after living in Arizona for ten years. I've been a member simultaneously at different gyms for various reasons. I must say Personalized Wellness Center holds up with the best of them. After being a member for two weeks at PWC and coming in at different times here is my sincere review. 1. PWC has a nutrition bar where they make fresh smoothies and offer supplements. (get a fresh smoothie after/before working out) 2. PWC is open 24/7 so you can work out at your convenience. 3.PWC has free weights,bicycles,treadmills,ellipticals, a track and a ton of machines. 4.PWC also has a daycare for kids,a rehabilitation center and also personal trainers. 5. PWC has a practical and reasonable monthly subscription 6.Mature crowd 7.Sauna I've been to gyms on the west coast were you pay $129 a month and gym's were you pay $19 a month. It's the same workout,whether you pay 10k for a rolex or ten dollars for a timex they both tell the same time. The more expensive gym's, yes did have newer equipment, fancier tv's, state of the art sound systems, big smoothie and supplement stores. At the end of the day your body & health transformation depends on YOU!! You have to go into the gym you have to lift the weights,you have to get on the treadmill and you have to want it. Typically not always but typically those big "franchised gyms' it's more of a social hour and people wearing too much cologne/perfume. That doesn't happen at PWC I highly recommend PWC it has everything a big franchise gym has but yet gives you the at home feel

So, I have been a member of many gyms over my lifetime. I use to live in LA and have been a member at high end gyms all the way to your middle of the road. The same goes for here in NE Ohio. I will honestly say I am very happy with The Natatorium. The customer service I have received has been great, the gym and locker room has always been clean, the equipment has always been functioning properly and the people have been pretty cool making it a great environment to get a good workout in. I really love the fact that this facility has a wide array of machines, free weights, Hammer Strength equipment, basketball and racquetball courts. I also love that there are many stations where you can squat and also a place to deadlift which I have found in the past has been frowned upon in some gyms. Another plus is the fact this facility has an upstairs with tons of cardio equipment, an ab area and a track that you can choose to walk or run. Just pay attention to the lane that you are suppose to be in and the direction it changes daily. I almost forgot about the steam room and the pool area if you want to take a dip or swim some laps. When your workout is done you can buy some smoothies, sandwiches, coffee and açaí bowls at Sandy Bottom Bowls. I have purchased a few items and they have been pretty darn good. My favorite is the PB@A Bowl. Make sure you get one of the cards and get it stamped at every purchase. I believe after 10 items you get a free bowl. The best way for me to sum it up is that I've never been a morning person, and now I look forward to the 6am class. The best part is that no one cares if you're young, old, in shape, out of shape, obese or skinny. They're happy you showed up, and they're rooting for you to succeed. If you have never worked out and you feel like you will struggle through a class, you probably will but NO ONE NOTICES OR CARES! You're not on display, it's a very personal experience. Coach Luke is phenomenal. He really makes sure your form is great and he helps motivate you. Coach Jason is great, he keeps it fun and you feel happy to finish a class. Everyone here is amazing, I can't say enough about the place.

I started going to Luke's morning classes with my sister and neighbor. My sister warned me before I started, "careful... it's addictive." Not usually one for group fitness classes, I smirked and signed up. Started at a couple days a week - now I try to go every week day morning. My day feels off if I skip. Luke pushes you without being too aggressive. And the energy he brings to the studio is the best way to start the day. Don't think about it. Just do it. But remember... it's addictive.

The gym was always crowded, and it was difficult to find available equipment--most of the time, it was either broken or occupied. The front desk staff rarely greeted me, which made the environment feel pretty impersonal. Eventually, I left for a cheaper gym (that unfortunately didn't have a hot tub) but found myself returning to Esporta specifically for their hot tub and sauna amenities. However, this turned out to be a frustrating decision. More than five times, I drove there only to find that one or both of those amenities were out of order. This isn't an isolated issue--it's quite common. When I returned after canceling my membership, I found that they had removed the free guest passes and raised the monthly fee by several dollars, yet I noticed no improvements in their facilities or services. Honestly, I'd recommend paying a bit more each month to go somewhere like the Natatorium in the Falls or even Planet Fitness. You'll likely have a much better experience than what Esporta offers. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.
