THE VHEILCE DIDN'T EVEN NEED A TIMING CHAIN. DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY. HE IS A SCAMMER. My son is a student at IU Bloomington. He said his vehicle needed a new timing chain. said it would cost 1400. he requested 700 down, which i did last wenesday. He stated he would tow the vehicle last Friday, which he never showed. Then it turned to Sunday. Never Showed. Then it turned to Tuesday and then he showed but said he was completing work at the dorm parking lot. 30 min later he calls and said the timing chain has been replaced and no misfires. He told me he jacked half the engine up to get to where he needed. He said he was getting ready to take it for a test drive. I then text him questioning if he really replaced the timing chain as it takes at least 5 hrs to do so. I then tell asked if he only changed the tensioner, which is a $50 part and that i have now overpaid him. Mind you, he has my son's keys. He then tells me that money is for his labor and that i owe him more money. He then tried to extort me for an additonal $200 to get the vehicle back. I was all but yelling at him on the phone. My son got back to the vehicle and turned it on, it now sounds worse than before the "repair" started. He then tells my son while i'm on the phone w/my son that the vehicle is 'sufficating' and that he is going to get a part and will be back. He never returned. I then received a text stating it was him and that he was going to make this right. Still haven't heard a word from him. I have never been scammed on a vehicle like this in my life. Spend your hard earned money at another place, because all this guy wants is easy cash AND to rip people off.
