She was kind and attentive, checked on us regularly. Its a fixed price menu, after giving it a look over I opted for the 2 piece Chicken Tenders fried with mashed and brown gravy, green beans and fried okra. Along with their jalepeno cornbread. Our food appeared in under ten minutes, as ordered. The chicken nicely fried, the mash and gravy as it should be, creamy potatoes and a rich brown gravy, the green beans old school home style and the fried okra done right, crispy crunchy and good. 3.5 Stars rounded up for our kind server, worth a visit and your support 01294

Their only cheese choice was yellow or white American cheese. The cheese burger was overcooked and dry. The onion rings were tasty, but a tad overdone. I had the Philly Cheesesteak which was great, The only caveat is that it was on bread, not a roll. I thought that was different. I also had the onion rings. We might not patronize them again, but YMMV.

My wife thought I was walking into the kitchen the entrance was so not identifiable. Not much has been done to modernize or beautify the interior, with peeling paint and questionable residue in the corners. BUT between the line of cars going through the drive thru and number of people inside, clearly the food and prices are the main focus. The catfish was flaky and fresh, the BBQ beans were spot on, the portion sizes generous and the steak well cooked (if not a little fatty.) Steel your soul and make the adventure happen, you won't be disappointed.

Husband had catfish and when his mouth was full of fish was the only time he was not telling me how good it was. I don't eat catfish so I ordered a chef salad. There was a bit of a snafu with the salad but when I got it, it was wonderful. We received many apologies for the salad issue but since it had been made right, we were satisfied with the food and the service. Then as we were leaving, one of the ladies ran up to us and insisted on giving us the dollar amount we paid for both dinners. We tried to refuse it but they really were emphatic. We will be back in town next month and Swamp Jacks will be one of our new go-to places.

When we arrived, we spent time looking for the item but were unable to locate it. I then went to the office area to ask for assistance. Unfortunately, the interaction from the rather large Mexican was not welcoming. Instead of offering help, I was asked, "What do you need?" and then questioned about who would be paying for the item before I had even confirmed a purchase. I was also told there were other customers waiting, which made me feel rushed and dismissed. I left feeling disappointed, especially after making the effort to travel such a long distance. Customer service plays a huge role in the overall experience, and in this case, it fell short. I hope ownership takes this as constructive feedback and considers the importance of providing a more helpful and respectful customer experience. This had the potential to be a long-term customer relationship, but unfortunately, the experience did not reflect that.
