It seemed like she may have been dealing with memory issues or dementia, which made their behavior even more upsetting. Everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and dignity, especially elderly customers who may need extra assistance. I had Toyota tell me I needed $1200 of work for my head gasket, but I scheduled it with him and he called me to say I didn't need the work done at all--saying a car the age of mine just has some oil leaking but it was minor. I had the car another 8 years, and the only thing ever needing replacing was the starter which James did. I hope he never retires, I can't imagine trusting anyone else working on my car as much as I trust him. I know that if he says I need something done, I need it. The work was completed quickly after I approved the costs via a phone call from Erik. I picked up my car and drove to the grocery store whereupon the check engine light came back on when I left, so I immediately returned to Tire Rama. Right away Jake had the car back in the shop and the mechanic looked for the code to no avail. Erik had gone for the day, and I agreed to schedule a return appointment. I was prepared for having to spend more money, but within just a few hours Erik called to say they had replaced the aftermarket O2 sensor from Napa with the more expensive sensor from Ford and after test driving, was confident the problem was resolved and there would be no charge.
