Went to a couple places looking for a 4" (low), because the mattress was so thick and we are short, springs for a mattress we had purchased on line my wife wanted. Love the mattress but needed a box springs. Finally ended up at Big Sandy and the salesman hooked us up with a 4" (low) box springs at a decent price but while we were there my wife saw a chair she fell in love with but there was no price tag on it. Asked another salesman about it and he asked his boss and since it was a display chair and it was the last one his boss said a very low price which we were very very happy with and purchased the chair also. (Chair was in the Platinum furniture level). Paid and received a delivery date. Today was the day. The delivery men came and were so polite and placed the box springs under the mattress and took trash with them. Very happy read more

Delivery occurred on the requested date and was on time. The installation team did a good job. I am impressed that they also service the units that they sell. Purchase experience was good but that's where it ended. Purchased stainless refrigerator and upon delivery, the installers scratched our hardwood floors in two places. In addition, they didn't install doors correctly then left - so door alarms kept going off for hours. Delivery guys would not respond to store manager or supervisor calls to return to correct it. Next day, we practically had to beg to get tech to come fix the door issue (5 minutes fix). Store manager said they would "do something for us to compensate for all our troubles and aggravation." To this day, nothing done, nor did they answer our correspondence. Delivery company acknowledged our damage claim after a week but never sent anyone to check after receiving photos from us. No customer service. Won't purchase from them again. read more

Worse experience EVER. The couch came and was ruined from the second the movers took it off their truck. It was damaged somewhere between the showroom & their truck and they still delivered it. Once approached by a sales person it was delightful. She was able to show us several couches and love seats and tell us what was in stock and what we had to wait for. Our choice was in stock so we purchased on Saturday and the it could be delivered as soon as that Wednesday. 1 yr old washer with a 10yr warranty down. Tech never even took it apart the first visit. Comes back and now more parts need ordered. The first round of parts were on hand at the local appliance parts house, but instead we had to wait nearly 3 weeks and when he comes back, not fixed. Ordering more parts wait weeks more. Don't believe that extended warranty sales pitch. We immediately had a problem with the washer and it will take more than a month to be resolved if ever. Buyer beware. read more

Came to Big Sandy to purchase a new box spring and mattress set. Was immediately directed to Chris. He was very knowledgeable and patient. After I finished my paperwork, I walked out with a complimentary beverage and popcorn feeling quite happy with my purchase. Because the size of mattress that I needed was not kept in stock, I arranged for my delivery to come two weeks later. Although the delivery was slightly late, I was kept aware of their progress by a very handy little app. The delivery men were very polite and efficient. The only reason I gave a 4-star review instead of 5, was because the delivery men did not wear booties over their shoes on this wet and muddy day. We purchased a window air conditioner on May 20, 2022 from the Hurricane Big Sandy. For some reason, Yelp is putting my address was California, but it's not. The employee helping couldn't stay off his phone. Kept texting and reading texts while we tried to discuss the purchase. Bought the air conditioner and installed it the next day. It did not work. Returned it on May 22, 2022. No problems with the return. However, it was not refunded to our credit card until I called to inquire about it on May 27, 2022. So surprised at this. I expected more from Big Sandy. They said it may have just been in a pile that they hadn't gotten to yet. Had to call to get a refund. read more

The worse customer service I have ever experienced... Brandon sold me a mattress with a "30 day buy back guarantee"... 21 days later... I called to return it (in the time frame allotted) and get informed they will give me a mattress of lesser value but will keep any extra $ from the return... so if I send back the $2,200 mattress and reselect our first selection $600... they get to keep the $1,600!!!!???? This is a review of the service department. Have an appliance I got the warranty on. It's not even a year old but broke. I called the service center to schedule an appointment. Got one for 10 days later said they would arrive between 12-5. Took half the day off to be home and got a call at around 10 saying they wouldn't be there till the next day. Fine so I took another half day off and waited all day. Guy calls at 4 to see if I still wanted him to come by. He comes in messed around for 20 min says he has to order a part and leaves. I hear nothing for over a week but finally get a notification that part has been ordered 6 days after the visit. Arrival time 3-5 business days and who knows when they will put me on schedule to come install it. Long story short don't waste your money on the warranty through them unless you can go with out a major appliance for around a month. read more

Definitely my least favorite place to order anything from. Sure would be nice if anything you ordered from this lack there of a furniture store, came in a reasonable amount of time. When you tell your customer a day that the item will be available for pickup, you had better make dam sure it's available by that time if not earlier without having to use the excuse of "we are at the mercy of our suppliers!" I'm no rocket surgeon, but something tells me if I had a business and clientele that expected a product when I promised it, I'd get it to them. If I had supplier issues, I'd drop that supplier and go with someone else. Maybe that makes to much sense though. read more
