Kohls, what is happening?! I've been shopping at Kohl's for years and I just walked out, uncertain…read moreI'll ever walk back in. I pulled up at 8 pm. One hour before the store closed. When I walked in, the cashier was sitting on the counter of the cash wrap in jeans and a baggy, wrinkled t-shirt, kicking her legs like she was at the park. Great first impression! I needed a new outfit for a job interview. Found a few outfits I wanted to try, all potentially to take home. I went to try them on and found the fitting rooms closed (the COVID flashback was intense!). I asked the very casual cashier why (I promise, I was polite) and she told me they now close the fitting rooms two hours before store close. I told her that they were losing my business because I don't buy clothes when I can't try them on. She shrugged, said okay and told me to have a nice night, it was clear it didn't matter to her that I was walking away from spending money there (how much are you paying her? It's too much). Call me crazy but wouldn't a clothing store want the fitting rooms open so people will, you know, buy clothes? I get it, times are rough for retail. Kohl's is apparently addressing the problem by hiring staff that don't care about hard times and instituting policies designed to turn customers away. Interesting approach but the empty parking lot tells me it isn't working. Tired of stores forgetting that satisfied customers are key to profits and instead giving the bare minimum to get the store from open to close each day (seriously, I'm not asking for special privilege, I just want to make sure the pants fit over my hips and don't sag. Good luck Kohl's, I'm going elsewhere. If I can't try clothes on I may as well order them online for half the cost, the desire to make sure clothes fit being one of the last reasons I still shop brick and mortar stores. It's sad because Kohl's has always been a favorite and now I have to drive to the next city to shop for decent clothing and even more important, decent service.

I know what you're thinking, a guy reviewing a bridal shop?…read more Well, it is simply too bad that no one else has spent the time to give this place the review it deserves. The fiancée and I were spending a day in Pueblo and she wanted to look at wedding dresses. This was the first time I had come with her on the search. After a truly awful experience at another shop we decided to give this place a try on a whim. We called and got an appointment within a half hour. As we pulled into a street space in front of the shop, she called out, "that's the sort of thing I have been looking for," referring to a dress in the window. Walking in, this place had more the feel of a hipster boutique dress shop than a formal bridal shop. Tarrah, the sales associate was bend-over-backwards helpful without being clingy or annoying. She knew her stock well and understood exactly what my fiancée is going for with our wedding (casual, but not jeans and dress shirt). Additionally, she was completely unfazed with my presence there, which helped both me and my fiancée feel more at ease. Although they did not have the dress my fiancée wanted in the right size, the associate knew the inventory well enough to put my fiancée in a dress of the right size and same silhouette, and then had her hold the actual dress to her front to simulate the look. I know this sounds awkward to describe, but it actually worked brilliantly, and my fiancée has finally settled on a wedding dress, well within her price range. This place is a hidden jem in Pueblo! My mother, sister and I had an excellent experience with our…read morebridal consultant and the owner. These ladies were more than helpful, especially given the fact that my sister and I are both getting married. They made sure to accommodate both of our needs and give us our special time in the limelight. Thankfully, we are not the type of sisters to bicker or one up each other. We both had an idea of what we wanted, she in a traditional but unique lace dress and me in a romantic and modern colored dress. They allowed us to go through the racks and also pulled things for us based on our preference. Our consultant pick a beautiful vintage-art deco inspired lace dress for my sister that she purchased and looked fabulous in. She ordered additional lace to add on to the shoulders since she wanted to be covered a little more and make a veil out of. I picked a lovely bridesmaid dress which was short, ordered it in long and add more fabric too to create a small train in the back. I am considering purchasing more fabric to create a veil. While there we also looked at bridesmaid dresses for our respective weddings. This also made our lives much easier since I live here but am getting married in Chicago and my sister live in Michigan and getting married there. They pulled out all the fabric samples for us to go through and direct us to websites with the products they carry for our out-of-town or out-of-country bridesmaids. My sister and I both plan to have our bridesmaids order their dress through them and get them altered at a location of their choice. I can't not rave enough about Style Bride. Our consultant and owner were so friendly, so accommodating, and beyond helpful. I can't thank them enough, and especially for making my mom smile and comfortable too (she hates dress shopping). They offer beautiful dress in a variety of price points as low as $150 and maybe lower in bridesmaids and I believe as low $350 in bridal. I would suggest for anyone to check this place out.
