We started off with a 3-meter Trainer Kite and at the end we were flying a kite 17-meter long! George - the instructor - gives very clear instructions and breaks everything down step for step. Most importantly the safety instructions, George puts such great emphasis on safety, so that nobody has to be scared to try kitesurfing. The second lesson we went out to Lake Weyba, and George had me up and going after a short while. It was awesome because I never thought I would pull it off in just two lessons! I will definitely be coming back for more lessons because it is really addicting! The shop itself has everything you need and more when it comes to kitesurfing and other adventure sports. They have stuff from kayaks, skateboards to SUP-boards. I also went for a stand up paddle a couple of times and got the equipment here. Again the instructions were very clear and made it very easy for me to learn. You should definitely check them out!

We had a tour of the factory with samples after the tour. We had a train ride. We walked through the rainbow umbrella experience. We had a tour of the honey bee hives followed with honey samples. Lunch in the cafe was excellent. Tried ginger beer for the first time. Way different than ginger ale. Left with some supplies from the gift shop. Dark chocolate covered ginger candies are great, as are the ginger gummy bears. Definitely have a higher respect and taste for ginger after this visit.

The units are large and have the bigger outside patio's as they appear to have been built in the 1990's. Be careful with your car around this complex as some parts are fairly steep. Lots of low wheelbase vehicles will 'bottom out' on the driveway to the reception area - so take care. They have spacious self-contained one, two bedroom and three bedroom holiday apartments, most with views overlooking Coolum Beach and the Pacific Ocean or the Coolum Hillsides. It's a good 15-20 minute walk to most dining and shopping in Coolum.But this is a good alternative to staying in Coolum on the main road with all that traffic noise. Are drive was Tim who was nice but was hoping for someone with more character and excitement. It was very bumpy on the day we went, apparently more than normal. Agee people had neck pain after. So if you suffer from neck or back pain maybe wise to sit this one out. The lake is just breathtaking. And than the drive back along rainbow beach. Wow wow. I never wanted to leave.

I spent a mostly-all-inclusive weekend here that included a meal at The Tamarind, a trip to the…read morespa, a couple picnic hampers, and two nights in a very spacious, comfortable, and secluded villa. Overall it was a very positive experience. My booking confirmation promised "luxury and outstanding service", and that's what was delivered. The only negatives I can think of are that we asked for a side of papaya salad that was never delivered (when dining at The Tamarind), and I didn't particularly care for one of the dishes that we were served (the eel parfait off the tasting menu, which had too many sweet elements and nothing that I could find to properly balance them...and also nothing that tasted much like eel). All things considered, those small issues can be overlooked (we had plenty of food without the papaya salad, and one lackluster course out of 8 is hardly a disaster), as the positives far outweighed the negatives. The room/villa was excellent, the grounds are nicely landscaped and well-maintained, the spa relaxing and modern, and the staff friendly and accommodating of every request we made. The location is superb, as well. Spicers Tamarind offers top-notch accommodations, service, and amenities, though certainly nothing here comes cheap. Not a bad place to visit if you can afford it, however.

Our time there was the off season, but still had other guests, often you wouldn't know they were there. The area is well set out with plenty of toilets dotted through out the area. There are so many sites to choose from catering for individual tents, campers or caravans, to areas for large groups. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Can't recommend it enough.
