I walked in here thinking this was a place that only employed redheads, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was more of an educational factory and park dedicated to the ginger root. We had a tour of the factory with samples after the tour. We had a train ride. We walked through the rainbow umbrella experience. We had a tour of the honey bee hives followed with honey samples. Lunch in the cafe was excellent. Tried ginger beer for the first time. Way different than ginger ale. Left with some supplies from the gift shop. Dark chocolate covered ginger candies are great, as are the ginger gummy bears. Definitely have a higher respect and taste for ginger after this visit. read more
Set about 90km north of where one of my friends lives in Brisbane, Buderim has historically become a great area for growing ginger. The factory makes great beverages, marmalades and other items out of said ginger.
