    Cheesesteak
    Lite B.

Ordered curly fries and a cheesesteak sub. I am embarrassed for them for being comfortable enough to serve such swill. The fries were so burned they were blackened and the sub was supposed to come with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, peppers, onions, mayo, mustard and ketchup, which wasnt a special order. That's how they are supposed to prepare it as advertised on doordash. It literally has four tiny strips of lettuce (yes I counted), as if they accidentally fell in the sandwich, no tomatoes, no onions, and I don't even wanna talk about the cheese situation. I trashed the whole meal. Wasn't worth the cow that died for it, the influx of calories, or the money I paid for it.

No meat at all in my Sausage Calzone
    Dee C.

Where's the meat? The calzone was all dough and cheese. We cut it open and there wasn't even a spoonful of sausage. Never order shrimp alfredo from a place called Big Papa PIZZA. I think they used salad shrimp. And it was super dry. The only halfway decent thing was the pizza.

    Chicken Parmigiano on stuffed shells

I ordered food thru Grub Hub. I spoke to someone who called from the restaurant 20 minutes after the order who asked for directions. 2 hours later, still waiting for the food. Even called and someone said 10 to 15 minutes more. That wad 30 minutes ago. Still no food. Will be cold or over warmed in warming bag they use for delivery. Next paragraph, I will write about food once it gets here. Time from order to delivery 2:23. Anyways... I ordered chicken parmigiano and buffalo wings. Cold. U ur would have been really good if it were hot or even warm. I might eat here again, but I will pick it up.

    Cheesesteak Sub Combo

Initially I was hesitant to order from here because there's little reviews and barely any customer pictures. But I must say what I ordered was good! Ordered online and specified what I wanted in my cheesesteak (otherwise it comes with an odd combo of things). The meat is good quality and filling, it was neat and exactly what I requested, and the fries were good. Wasn't exactly overloaded as labeled but it was enough for me. No complaints! I did learn ordering online you are charged more, no fault of the restaurant, the online 3rd party charges additional for their cut . So word to the wise call in your order or order in person. Since the food was good I didn't mind the cost, but would have preferred my money went straight to supporting the restaurant fully. Def will be ordering from here again.

I ordered jumbo wings. These are not jumbo.

Now, I wasn't really happy about our seat but I couldn't see behind the wall to know if there was another table to request to move to. We were sat in the front corner I guess directly under a vent and it was already chilly outside. I didn't let it bother me because I really wanted to try ERRTHANG on the menu. Now, this is where I was about to get up and leave. We sat for a good while and NO ONE came to greet, take a drink order, or even ask have we been helped. I want to say it's because we were somewhat out of sight. Because it was freezing I got up and asked for another table, which was on the other side of the wall with all the other customers and much warmer even with the patio bar doors open. No, I don't remember my waiters name, but he came over immediately and apologized for us being stranded in the back. We went on to order our drinks which came fairly quickly and we ordered our food. I was kind of disappointed because he said they no longer served fried crab legs and should be taken off the menu, but that's OK. I was ready to order something else. I had Chef Mo's Shrimp & Grits and when I say it's the best shrimp and grits I've ever had in my life. It was amazing. The grits were three cheese grits with crawfish, étouffée, and large perfectly shrimp with some BOMB jalapeño beef sausage, which I would have removed, but I said let's do it. Best decision I've ever made. I cannot stop thinking about the grits. My friend ordered the Cajun fried fish and grits with a side of eggs (no pic). We both raved the entire time about how creamy and delicious the grits were. I didn't need to add anything, no butter, no salt, no sugar. They were absolutely amazing and I'm not even a huge grits fan. Now, the fish, the menu stated half a pound, which came out to be one small piece of whiting. I guess I was expecting a bigger piece or maybe two pieces because it was so tiny but that baby filet was seasoned to the gods, I mean perfect. The breading was so flavorful but not overpowering or salty. The eggs tasted like the eggs I had in the marines out of a bag, but he mix them with the grits and was fine. Everything was so good that we thought about coming back later that night to try something else. Please bring back the deep-fried crab legs

They have good drink options which was nice for a group which all had different tastes. We started with appetizers, including the chicken empanadas, the tuna tacos, and ceviche sampler. The chicken empanadas were good, if not particularly memorable. But had a nice crunch on the shell and the inside had a nice savory flavor and not dry. The tuna tacos, which didn't have the most appetizing color, was also tasty. The tuna was tender and balanced well with the crispy shell. The ceviche sampler was also delicious, each one having a different flavor profile. I liked the tigre de leche the best in terms of the acidity and brightness. I just wish the ceviche had some kind of vessel to eat it with. One of the ceviche had plantain chips which was nice but I wanted more. Without it, the texture is just one note. For the main dishes, we got the lomo saltado and the aji de gallina which are two, iconic Peruvian dishes. Both were just meh. The aji was the better of the two. The sauce was flavored well with the creaminess of the sauce not overwhelming the garlic and tumeric flavors. But the rice was SUPER dry, almost crunchy. The lomo saltado was even worse. The beef was overly cooked, some pieces were very sinewy and chewy. It was also overly salty and the veggie to meat ratio heavily favored the veggies and made the dish feel cheap. Overall, it was fine but given the options for Peruvian in DC, not sure this deserves 4 stars+.

This most recent visit was with a friend who was trying it for the first time, and he loved it. The food was delicious as always. He had the arroz con pollo (which I recommended), and I had the camarones al ajillo -- shrimp in garlic sauce with rice, salad, and plantains. Everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The bartenders were so pleasant and attentive. We sat at the bar, and even though it was crowded (which it usually is -- a good sign!), the service was still great. Now let's talk about the drinks because they were the real stars:    *   My friend had three mango margaritas and couldn't stop talking about how good they were.    *   I tried the cucumber jalapeño margarita -- you could literally smell the fresh cucumber as they made it. It did not hold back on the jalapeño! It had a real kick, but the flavor was amazing.    *   And the mojitos? Delicious. They use real sugarcane, and you can taste the freshness. Great vibes, great service, consistently amazing food and drinks. I will absolutely keep coming back and always recommend this place.

As others have said their guacamole is excellent...do check the charges though bc they added salsa and chips to the tab which we did not order (they removed).
