Texture of both was great, and what I could decern in terms of individual flavor was nice ... But the sauce took over both. The ribs had an amaaaazing flavor, peppery with the right amount of salt. Really liked the rub. Really good flavor on these. But, they weren't sliced apart, with a bone plate still holding them all together. Imagine getting three ribs still attached at the bone that's still so tough you need to saw them apart with some effort before you can get to eating them. I was hacking and pulling with a knife and fork for a couple minutes to seperate em. That being said once I actually got to eating them, it was great. Once I got to my room at the hotel and opened my bag of food up, I had two containers of House BBQ sauce, two containers of Sweet Baby Rays a nice sized serving of slaw and some great looking onion rings. Didn't even matter that we were both wearing our Veterans hats, which we usually do when traveling through "certain areas" of the country. I can only imagine how she would have reacted if we had worn the hats of our home countries of Haiti & Colombia! Anyway, the young man that did service us was very polite and helpful. On the front door is a sign saying that they charge an extra 4% for credit card usage. Also, on my check were two prices, one for cash and the other for credit. While I detest restaurants that charge extra for credit card usage, I will give Gumbo Pot credit in that they clearly disclose that fee on the door and on the bill but I still hate it.
