What with a conspicuously designed name printed on its glass window and right above the entrance. Finding a seat is also not a problem as the dining area is huge and there are plenty of tables and chairs. I liked Wingstop even before I tasted their food. The reason: Their food choices are few. You'll not be overwhelmed by different options or types of food. Their menu revolves around chicken wings. Since their Makati branch is fairly new, I imagined that customers would take a long time to decide what to order. But it didn't take long for the people ahead of me to finish their transactions at the counter. It could be that everyone had already tried Wingstop and knew what to eat or it could be that 7:00pm is not a good time to eat wings (are you kidding me?). Since I was on my way home, I decided to have my orders in a takeaway bag. I simply wanted to sample their wings so I got a 7-piece order of wings with two flavors - Garlic Parmesan and Louisiana Rub. Going further, some places would inevitably prepare the dish better than most. To me, this is Frankie's New York Buffalo Wings. I usually head to Frankie's after a night run. This could get as late as midnight. The place is open until 2 am, and by this time the horrible parking situation at the City Golf Compound would already be more manageable. (Of course, provided it's a not a weekend.) I always get the Classic Buffalo (spicy) with blue cheese dip, and ask for more blue cheese dips. (They charge extra). I like the chicken because of the way the skin has been cooked to a crisp, all the while keeping the meat rather tender; I think it's breaded. The sauce is spicy yet with just the right bite, meaning there is a dimension to the flavor and not just plain crazy-fiery. Like, I can still taste the butter and the vinegar all coming nicely together with the one-two punch of the hot sauce. Oh-yeah! The best part is you don't even have to worry about getting your hands dirty because they give away disposable gloves. To be honest, I don't really use it since I am used to working with utensils in dissecting my chicken, but I just think it's rather thoughtful of them. Additionally, they have several very popular non-Mexican items, including fries and Buffalo wings. While the food selections are spot on, it's the drinks that make this place so popular. Since the place was about a 15 minute walk from my condo, I first tried it on a Sunday at 2 pm. It's a small local restaurant that's open air on a corner. You can place your order in the counter but have to wait to be seated before they will bring your food. I had to wait a good 30 minutes before a table was free for the staff to clean and tell us to take that table. We got the pecho (chicken breast) and garlic rice, and I have to say, it definitely was good. Hot off the charcoal grill, it tasted best when you add the chicken oil to the rice. Chicken was juicy and was the best I had in Manila (I did try other inasal places before I made that final decision) They give you a box of gloves if you want to eat with your hands but will also give you utensils. Overall, it was a great meal that I did come back a week later at 1130 am, it was still packed but got a table that was open so no wait. Never had chicken from Bacolod but this definitely was better than Mang Inasal and Bacolod chicken.

The size of their wings is average, I've had other wings bigger than the one from WingMan though their flavor was pretty impressive. Aside from Chicken Wings, they also have healthy meals such as salads in their menu and also offers a wide selection of burgers. My boyfriend tried their Cowboy Burger, which was their Texas-inspired sandwich with BBQ sauce, bacon and caramelized onions with fries to go with. I got to take a bite out of this burger and found it especially good! I've always been a fan of anything with BBQ on it so I was happy to find that theirs measured up to my BBQ standards. From the outside, it didn't look like an Indian restaurant, but there was a chalkboard out front promoting their chai, lassi, and samosa, and so I was intrigued. I did not expect I would find fantastic samosa and veggie roti wrap here. I also liked their rose lassi and the garlicky chicken. The food brought back fond memories of hanging out at my Indian friend's house back in high school and getting my first taste of their cuisine. Chi Chops has a well-meaning "tambayan" feel to it, and the food's home-cooked appeal and taste is affordable and worth the visit. When you do drop by, look for Loj. A warm and friendly waiter who really knows the menu.

Their house-brewed iced tea is so good that you'd really wonder why it's got a head of froth floating in the glass. Service is quick, and the servers are polite and friendly. I'm also recommending their chicken tandoori meal with iced tea. Don't forget to ask for promos every month. Sometimes they put up value meals which are really good value for money.
