I backed track everywhere I'd gone, still no keys. I was one of three people to enter the store when they opened the door for business. The store manager Chris approached me and I explained that I had lost my key ring and he immediately went into action. By this time I felt faint. Chris went to retrieve me a chair and paper towels because I'm so nervous I'm sweating and scared. I'm three hours walking and looking for my keys with Chris at my side when he could be available for me. Chris checked outside where my BMW was parked just in case I'd left the keys in car, Chris checked shopping carts, under counters...nothing! Shoppers had stopped to help me. After about my sixth back tracking I finally found my keys hanging on a dress that I had picked up but decided not to buy. I want to say a big THANK YOU TO CHRIS at T J MAXX for taking the time to help me in my time of distress. I feel I made a friend that day.

I usually wind up in the dressing room (which, UGH, don't get me started on the dressing rooms...can we get some proper fucking hooks, people? Heaping your finds onto a bench isn't the way to start your fitting adventure!) with my arms full of things to try on. One by one, they are all poo-pooed, whether it be for fit, transparency, a flaw, defect, or hole, general lack of quality. Sometimes, I'll find something that fits, looks good, and doesn't look or feel like it's going to fall apart the second time I wear it. So I buy it. Sometimes, I wind up with several things that meet this criteria yet I just don't feel that owning them is worth the hassle of going through the checkout. And this is no slight against the checkout process or the employees. That bit's fine. The clothes just aren't worth it sometimes. And don't get me started on the damn shoes. Worst. Organization. EVER. Yes, this is probably due to customers being inconsiderate assholes, but there's not even an ATTEMPT at organizing the clearance shoes. Have YOU ever tried to shop for shoes by guessing which ones are your size just by looking at them in the box? Why can't the clearance shoes just stay with their same-size brethren, colored dot in place, and skip that whole migraine-inducing process.

I advise I was wearing a Maidenform brand and I wanted to try another brand. The young lady had very little knowledge about the products in that department but I took the information, thank her and continued to search. During the search, I stopped and stood in the department for maybe twenty minutes or so because I realized that I had not sent out an important reminder text to the group of Ladies that I meet with on Saturday nights. After I made my decision on two BodyShaper's, I left the department and walked down to the men's department to find my husband a belt. After about 20 minutes a young made came to me and made a joke, I ask could he check me out with the three items ( two shapers and one belt) he looked at the the young lady, on my right, it was the associate that advised me about the shaper, the man that worked for your company said she can help you. I looked at the associate and said are you looking for me, she said yes ( she looked to see what was in my hand). I said I have shopped at Belks for years and NEVER had I had an associate follow me from one department to look for me in another department. This made me very uncomfortable, my husband said it best, she thought I was going to steal . She was very obvious, I am asking for training for this associate. Also tell this young lady, Belks have security cameras and I am sure security, that could have watch me and not make me feel VERY uncomfortable and disrespected. I have a Belks card and I often shop on line. If you asked the young lady, I am sure she will remember me, I was pleasant and kind, even after I realized that she was operating in decent. I only Pray that she is HONEST, TRUTHFUL and FORTHCOMING and not LIE just to save her job ( smh) in regards to her actions based on her suspicious thoughts about me. It's usually understaffed, so don't go in there unless you know what you need. Additionally, if you can't find something, there's almost always a sign to point you in the correct direction if you just look. I also found the Electronics staff to be very friendly and knowledgeable- if you can find one. Also I have it on good authority this Wal-Mart is about to get a Burger King and a built-in beer/wine cooler in the back. So that's cool. My main complaint is low in stock levels and a lack of staff, as usual with these stores. Maybe Big W will wake up and change their game plan.

Pros: *If you've seen someone, anyone, wearing it, of any size, they probably have something similar. *The prices are UNBEATABLE. *They carry plus-size bangles and belts. WOO HOO! *You can shop with ANYONE in this store. They have everything from girls' sizes to juniors to plus size to super plus. I think the cutoff is size 36. And no, that's not a typo. *The employees are incredibly friendly and helpful. *A very respectable underwear/lingerie selection in plus sizes. Also WOO HOO! Cons: *I hate the freakin' parking lot of this shopping center. However, this is not Simply Fashions' fault. I'm just bitching for the sake of bitching. *The cut and quality is a bit dodgy sometimes. It's another place where you have to just grab everything that you think you might like and give it a go. Sometimes, the fabric is really thin. Sometimes, you'll find a really amazing garment with a serged hem rather than a proper one. (I sew, so I could give a damn less if I need to spend 30 minutes of quality time with my sewing machine to make a $10 garment perfect.) Sometimes, the seams are so dodgy that they pop a bit when you try an article of clothing IN YOUR SIZE on, just from the normal stretch of getting it over the bust. Such is life. Put it back on the hanger and keep on moving. All in all, I really do love this place. Were it not for the amazing range of sizes, this probably would have been a 3 or 4 star rating due to the quality issues I mentioned, however, I absolutely MUST applaud any store that makes an honest effort to help women of all sizes and shapes look and feel beautiful in current, fashionable, well-fitting clothing. Leave your expectations at the door and just go see what tickles your fancy!
