If you're stopping into this place, make sure you have a few hours to kill. If you rush yourself you'll miss things. Looking into all the glass cabinets can offer you up some really cool treasures. This is usually were the smaller treasures are located. I found several antique items that I will be able to give to family and friends as gifts who also are collectors. There are multiple booths with everything from A to Z. The military section is really awesome. Lots to be found there. What a great day to spend looking for things you just can't get anymore. I noticed last year the prices were rising but today, less than a year later, they've jacked prices to the point I can buy similar "brand new" idems at Beals next door for the same price if not cheaper on sone items! I had picked out 5 tops today that I'd really wanted "needed" as I'm having to replace my clothing little by little. Two were sweaters, nothing special but I could wear them and they suit my needs. Three were just simple shirts. I looked at the prics and about fell out! I mentioned this to one of the young men working there putting out stock. He shook his head and said "Ma'am, I understand. It's just how Goodwill is pricing now." I knew it wasn't his fault. He was so sweet. I told him they think we're stupid and don't know where the bulk of the profit is going. We have seen what the CEO makes! It's a greed store not a good will store. If I'd purchased those tops, I'd have spent $40 + on them. I just put them all back and went nextdoor to Beal's purchased a top and two outfits for my husband for father's day. I then drove to another thriftshop and OMGOSH... I was so happy to find exactly what I wanted at less than half of what Goodwill would've been. Last fall, I saw a pair of women's shoes marked $20. and they were "well worn" and not even a big name brand. I asked the lady putting them out why so high? She said (very snappy) "I'm just doing my job and have you priced shoes in a regular store?" I looked at her calmly and said "Why yes. Yes I have and they're all brand new, mostly big name brands, not to mention something I'd wear unlike these I'd have thrown out!" Enough is enough with Goodwill Store greed. This so-called "non-profit" store is a bunch of bull. We see through you and your corporate greed. I'll never step foot back in one and if anyone else has half a brain, they won't either! I'll stick with the thriftshops I know have great prices which helps the public as well as every purchase you make goes to help those in need. Their pricing is fair and tou don't feel like you're being ripped off! Hey Goodwill CEO... you'd think we're paying tariffs of items we purchase from you. Guess what? We aren't! However, Lesia pulled the item for another person that commented 3 minutes after I commented. I sent Lesia screenshots showing that I commented first, no response. I posted the screenshot and tagged Lesia in it, no response. Lesia was active on the page, so I know she saw my posts, just chose to take no accountability for her mistake and ignored me. Very unprofessional. Lesia made a post in the group "it's a great day to shop at the pickers choice" so I commented on that post and said that I would love to shop the pickers choice when I come to pick up the item I claimed, but you chose to give it to someone else. I messaged the page as well, and they called me a bully. I guess I'm done shopping here!
