The pub is lovely, it's location is similarly as lovely. The drinks are good and are also quite reasonably for the area. These are the areas where the pub actually deserves 5*s. However, the food is chronically over priced and is to be frank terrible. It nearly double the price of a chain pub, which you think probably means the food is going to be great. However, it is terrible, we've been here a few times for food and had differing meals. The vegetarian lasagne was not edible due to the vegetables being so over cooked they where mush and had no flavour left. The supposed chicken burger that was supposedly grilled was blind fact Turkey (distinct taste difference between the two) and was swimming in grease and therefore not edible, the beef burger was the same, the list goes on. The fish and chips was apparently divine and very tasty, also I can vouch for the garlic bread with cheese, it is also very tasty. However, the rest of the food we have had from there has been to be frank horrendous and a massive waste of money. If you are looking for a nice pub in a great location then this is definitely the place, however, if you're looking for somewhere to eat, save your money.
