I was quite disappointed with the 30 plus advertised Jerky? I saw maybe 11 different jerky. I bought the buffalo jerky and alligator jerky. Alligator was yuck, very bad and flavor. Came here to check out a "Trading Post" - this place is super expensive. Like I like shopping for random items - and these are easily 3-7x more expensive than what other stores charge (and they have to markup too). The bathrooms here are super clean though, and if you don't have a budget, the stuff they have is nice. One notable is they have a really cool assortment of "unique" sodas - like butter flavor or just things you wouldn't normally go for. Great for kids for a family memory :) read more

Stopped by on a trip between antelope canyon and horseshoe bend. Was looking forward to getting Navajo tacos that I saw on past pics on yelp. However when I arrived in late April 2022 it looked they weren't serving any prepared foods, since that area was closed off. Bathrooms were clean and there were plenty of other prepacked snacks to choose from. There were also some picnic benches on the side facing the gas station to consume your food. read more

It looks like a hole in the wall kind of place but the food was excellent!! We ordered sandwiches and the rye bread was thick cut and fresh, the veggies were crisp and fresh, and they used good mustard. My children got burgers and fries and tenders and it was all delicious, perfectly cooked. And the bathrooms were remodeled and you feel like you're in a fancy hotel, with nice tile work from floor to ceiling, I'm not kidding. The whole place surprised me because I wasn't expecting much from how it looked. Would definitely go back if visiting again. The gas station was convenient too. read more

We ordered a Navajo Taco and asked for cheese on our taco. When we got it we noticed, no freaking cheese! And the frybread was small. Call me picky but when we pay $13.99 for a Navajo taco we expect it to be at least acceptable. This was not. My wife can make a better taco in her sleep. Do not come here for food or deli. read more

It's nice having this Trading Post/Gas Station out here when you're traveling all over. They have food and drinks and souvenirs. The employees are nice. If you're looking to get something local this is a good place to stop. Also, I personally loved their old school gas pumps. read more

This place is quite literally "good to go!" The Big Lake Trading Post is something of a local institution, a convenience store/souvenir shop/gas station. It's a popular stop for folks who live on the Navajo Indian Reservation but work in Page. The Deli is a fairly recent addition to the place and they serve up huge, fresh-made sandwiches that are, best of all, dirt cheap. I had one of their specials, the "BLTP" (stands for Big Lake Trading Post or Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato and Pepperjack) on marble rye bread. The bread was delicious and so was the peppered bacon. My partner ordered a barbecue beef sandwich on an 8" white roll. He loved it, and loved the fact that it was a "dam site" cheaper than Subway! Their selection is slightly limited, but what they have is really good. They serve breakfast burritos, biscuits and gravy and other morning fare as well. If they had a place to sit and eat they would be giving some of the more popular eateries a run for their money, but for now they're strictly carry-out. Otherwise, if you're visting Lake Powell, particularly on your way to Antelope Point, this is a great place to stop and get a really big sandwich for a really reasonable price. read more

Stopped by looking to get Navajo Tacos, which were advertised outside and are a regional dish. The food counter was in the back and offered a limited mix of reasonably priced sandwiches and burgers. The taco consisted of dough that was patted out by hand to order and fried, topped with standard American taco fillings (chili, tomato, lettuce, pickled jalapeno, canned salsa, shredded cheese (cheddar)) with sour cream available for an extra $1, which we opted for and received less than a tablespoon of. The place sold normal convenience store items plus souvenirs upstairs. Fairly dimly lit, bathroom was basic but relatively clean. Clearly popular with locals to fill up on gas, had a good local flavor to it. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. After needing to use the restroom for several hours on the road and there not being anything around, we finally stopped. I stood in line for the restroom and a female employee came over and informed me that I would not be able to use the restroom because she needed to clean it. I responded by letting her know I really needed to go to the bathroom and she gave me a look from hell, rolled her eyes, and said "it's closed. Go up the road". As someone who paid for stuff at this convenience store, it'd be nice if she had given me 30 seconds to go to the bathroom and had treated me with a little more respect. read more

The clerk was very rude. I asked him where the rest room was and he pointed to the woman's room. I tried the door and it was locked. I stood there for 2-3 mins when he yelled across the room "are you wanting to use the bathroom? Yea I'm talking to you" I said yes, of course ". He said " you'll need the key" and pointed to a key on the counter. I tried the key but it wouldn't work. Again the ass hole let me fumble with it for 2-3 mins before saying " if you want to get in the woman's room it's the other key. " the clerk was an old white guy with insecurity issues who was desperate to feel that he had some power. With his intellect and disposition he would be better suited to a job where he has no interaction with other human being such as driving a garage truck. read more
