Even though I have a case to put the burden all on him, after multiple attempts asking Terry to just pay half of my deductible and not involve his insurance, he never responded to me. I will update this and hope to say he stepped up and did the right thing but currently I would not recommend them. Owning up to all the possible things that could go wrong when repairing other people's things is counting the cost of having and running an honest business. Update: I did hear back from Terry and we are still negotiating how to settle this between us. Unfortunately the original fix to the refrigerator is not fixed. He offered to refund me what I paid. This is doing the right thing and a step in the right direction to share my deductible expenses. An update on the kitchen fix too. Phase 1 water mitigation was $5,000. Phase 2 repairs to the kitchen is $18,000. 5/22 Update: I haven't gotten the $375 back from the fix that didn't work for my repair. Terry told me 8 days ago he would refund me but I still don't have my money back. I really wish all this could've been worked out between us and my comments here would've reflected a better experience. After research and the simple facts of exactly what happened there is overwhelming evidence of his liability and how this will end up. It's unfortunate because a lot of this could've been avoided.

He actually showed up versus other businesses I had contacted. Unfortunately my washer was over 20 years old and the motherboard was unfixable and was no longer manufactured. Howie was very helpful and thorough in explaining fixes and taking apart the washer, to check for specific problems. During his visit, he repaired my garbage disposal and checked other items. I'd left a message b/c our washer had stopped working. He called back in less than an hour and listened as I explained what the problem was. Tracy stayed on the phone with me for close to an hour while he had me run the washer thru a rinse cycle. He didn't want to hang up until the cycle was completed so he'd know the machine was fine, which it was. He explained that sometimes the 'board' just needs to reset itself after the machine had been unplugged for 45 min or more, which we had done earlier. Tracy is a one-man operation and if I could give ten stars here I would! He could have just as easily come to our home and done everything he had done over the phone and charged us for a service call. Instead he walked me through what he thought needed to be done step by step and all was fine. I did a load of wash after we ended the call without any problem at all.
