My water heater kept giving error code of blockage, and I had to reset it every other day. The tech Anthony recommended descaling. I was charged close to $900 for diagnosing the water heater and descaling it. It only took him 5 min to set up the descaling, the rest of the time was just waiting for the heater to flush itself. My water heater gave the same error code the same night. I called Plumbing Express again. Another tech came, he said he couldn't find anything wrong, he said maybe due to strong wind. He just hit the reset button, which I knew to do it myself. I called Plumbing Express again. This time they didn't come, and gave me $2,000 quote to repair the piping and all that. I debated for a long time between repairing and replacing the whole system (my system was only 5 years old). I decided to call another plumbing company for second opinion. They came and found the inlet water filter being extremely dirty and blocked. They cleaned it, and now my water heater is working like new again, and the new plumbing company charged me less than $100. Cleaning the filter was supposed to be part of the annual maintenance descaling that I paid Plumbing Express to do, which they obviously didn't do and I paid $900 for. They even mis-diagnosed and wanted me to fix the whole plumbing system for $2-3k. It is insane! Another issue was during the first appointment of fixing my water heater, I also asked Anthony to look at my shower faucet because it didn't control temperature very well. It was working fine besides the temperature part. He unassembled it to look inside. He said the cartridge needs to be replaced. He had to look for it and would call me back. Anthony put the shower faucet back. The same day when I used the shower, I turned the faucet and it fell off. It was very obvious that Anthony assembled it incorrectly. He came back and couldn't put it back because the parts inside broke already. He said he would call me back about replacement quote. Never called me back. I had to call office multiple times. After that, they said the faucet is too old, there is no replacement part, I would have to replace my entire master shower system. Not only Plumbing Express didn't fix my shower faucet, they completely broke it. They turned a simple problem into something they would cost me tens of thousands of dollars to fix. Now I'm still living with my faucet broken off and still trying to figure out a way to fix it without breaking my bank.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. What started as a run of the mill powder room faucet and toilet handle…read morereplacement has turned into a month-long fiasco, complete with a toilet that hasn't stopped running, no sink at all, and, worst of all, severely damaged hardwoods on two floors (amounting to several thousands of dollars of damage). To add insult to injury, the business/franchise owner has actively avoided our calls for several weeks now. Well, time's up. Atlanta customers deserve to know what to expect if they move forward with this business. Here's what happened: 11/24: Mr. Handyman (affiliate of Mr. Rooter) comes to replace bathroom sink faucet and toilet handle, among other minor things. He was unable to complete the plumbing work and said we'd need to have a plumber come out. We paid $612.16. 11/25: Arthur from Mr. Rooter comes and states that Mr. Handyman completed the work incorrectly and he needed to strip out and the work and re-do it. Arthur re-did the faucet installation, which required turning off the water supply to the house. When he completed the work inside the hours, we paid the invoice ($1,560.28), after which Arthur headed outside to turn back on the water supply to the house. When he did, gallons of water began shooting out from the walls. Apparently he failed to connect the water supply lines to the sink, a reckless breach of the duty owed to us. As a result, water flooded the bathroom, hallway, and home office. We jumped into action immediately, grabbing every towel we could find to absorb as much of the water as quickly as possible, using our shop-vac, and running an industrial style fan to help with water remediation. Arthur watched this happen and also tried to help. Notwithstanding our efforts, water also seeped through the floor and walls down into the basement, partially flooding two areas. Although we got all standing water up as quickly as possible, within hours the real hardwood floor boards were bowing in the affected areas on the main floor, and water was seeping up between LVP planks in the basement. 11/26: Mr. Rooter sent out a master plumber, an agent of Mr. Rooter, who called the franchise owner and took photos. He apologized that this had happened and assured us that Mr. Rooter would make it right. 11/26 - 12/4: We made several calls to Mr. Rooter asking for updates and repeatedly requesting that they send hardwood and water remediation professionals to assess damage and recommend the appropriate course of action. 12/4: Mr. Rooter finally sends a third party hardwood expert to assess the damage and provide a quote to repair or replace the floors (a tacit acknowledgement of their initial duty and breach, the damage caused, and their obligation to make as whole). Mr. Rooted failed to send a water remediation expert to address possible mold risk, despite our requests. 12/5: The hardwood expert provides Mr. Rooter with a quote. 12/5 - 12/19: Again, we've made REPEATED calls to Mr. Rooter asking to speak with the owner. Each time we call, we're told by someone at the office that he will call later that day and that they understand our case is a priority. The owner did call us once early in this time period - around 6:45 am. Though we called right back, he did not pick up and has since failed to call us back despite multiple follow-ups and assurances from the office that "he'll call you today" or "he'll call you this week." They even once told us, "Oh he literally just stepped out to go to the bank. He'll call you right back." Not surprisingly, he did not call us back. Enough is enough. Today is December 21, almost a full month since this business damaged our home, left us without a working bathroom, and kept our payment despite the foregoing. I am appalled by Mr. Rooter's business practices, their total failure to remedy the damage they caused and make us whole financially, and their lack of urgency in this matter. My patience has officially run out, and with it, my desire to avoid litigation.

My water heater decided not to break on Tuesday evening, and I needed someone to come out and see what went wrong. It was roughly around 630 at night when I realized I had no hot water, so I Googled hot water repair services within my community. I called two plumbing services that were "near me" and both services told me I was out of their servicing zone. So I reached out to my neighbor and he gave me Aaron Plumbing's information. Now, but this time it was around 8:30 PM, but I still pick up the phone and gave them a call and a lovely lady answered the phone immediately. Unfortunately, I cannot remember her name, but she was remarkably friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable, and she went ahead and looked at the schedule for Wednesday. She told me that she could have a plumber out to my house between 8am and 12noon and I was excited that she was able to fit me into their very busy schedule. The young man, Tom Page, that came out Wednesday morning was also very kind and efficient. He was able to tell me that my water heater, which was the original to the house, would no longer be working for me, and that I would need a new one. I actually knew that I would need to replace my water heater at some point in time when I bought my home in 2019. But, as always, it's a disappointment even though you know it's going to happen. Tom actually had the correct water heater on hand and within a couple of hours had my water heater completely replaced. You'll see through the pictures below the old unit, and the new unit. When Tom was done with the installation, he walked me through exactly what he had done, he showed me pictures of what had been, and what was now fixed or replaced. We also had a great conversation on how to purge the silt in the bottom of the tank, once a year, to maintain the good health of my brand new water heater. I would certainly recommend Aaron Plumbing to anyone in the northern Cumming area of Georgia, because Dawsonville plumbing and other plumbing facilities located in Cumming, GA do not service my neighborhood.
