All of which is to be expected in a handyman. But here's where he earned five stars and then some. We had a plumber over at the same time to replace a toilet. Would have cost us upwards of $500 all in, and we were only replacing it on the plumber's recommendation. Fortunately Russ was there, and while he was a professional and didn't step on the other guys toes, I noticed he seemed like he wanted to say something. So after talking to him, I learned that a toilet replacement is not at all difficult, and nor is a rebuild, and he would be happy to do either for just his hourly rate. So we replaced the toilet for less than half the price the plumber wanted. Honest, hard-working, and dependable, and above all with our interests in mind.

Another bid advised another new fan and a very high price. Carlos was the voice of reason suspecting it wasn't hooked up to a vent and provided a fair bid. The steam had no where to go but the ceiling crawl space. Yikes! Carlos installed an outside vent and it clears the air perfectly. While he was on his way over I rememberd a missing baluster on another staircase. Good thing Bob checked out the handrail because one piece of hardware was broken!
