I immediately signed up for their newsletter and after seeing all the wonderful, natural items they had I knew I wanted to stop in. We were in the area killing some time before we had to pick up our doggos and we stopped in to check it out. The shop is easy to miss but is jam packed with so many goodies and amazing variety from candles, soaps, natural dryer balls, art work, body creams, you name it. The sassy candles that had caught my eye were amazing and exactly what I hoped for. I will be gifting these for Christmas for sure. I haven't been to a shop like this in recent memory and the quality of the products is absolutely top notch. I love to support high quality local shops and this place and the owner have so much charm- just check them out!

I'll get to the soaps and the rest in a minute, I just feel like I need to add something to the conversation. Hurst has been around the block, including a long stint in Washington state where she worked as a financial advisor. She'll tell you, if you ask, about some of the women she connected to, desperate to escape domestic abuse, but unable to speak or act due to threat of financial ruin. In this era of #MeToo, it's important to recognize that, for many women, probably the majority of the victimized, the risk of coming forward is far, far too real. The threat of poverty, particularly in the poorest state of the union, is literally life or death. So that's where she's hoping to make a difference, and her soaps and body products are the salve. As it happens, her products are terrific; she's all about softening, soothing, giving your body that buttah, baby. One or two drops of her body butter had my hands rejoicing all day. Delightful bath bombs. Terrific local art from, yeah, a pretty powerful woman. All in a space about the size of a big walk-in closet, hand-crafted and easy to warm up to, much like Maaike herself. The very first time I spoke with this woman I enjoyed her, and you'll enjoy spending a little more for better products that support a critical cause.

However, there are some exquisite canvases and a sculpture here that honestly belong in a museum in this gallery. Prices were very fair, given the level of the work. There is also a room with a number of beautiful smaller artworks and handmade crafts, such as you would find in the gift shop at MOMA, that were perfect for a special gift and honestly underpriced. I left with a bag full and am still thinking about a couple of those higher end paintings. It is rare to find original art by collectible artists in small galleries, but Marissa has a way with people and gets works that a small gallery would normally not be able to touch. I plan to return to see one of her shows. She's an excellent gallerist and would be right at home curating for a modern art museum.

I asked three different employees for help locating magnets and was repeatedly given vague directions across the store without anyone verifying the location or offering to assist further. Despite following the instructions, I was unable to find the item. One employee did not make eye contact and provided directions without looking at me, while another appeared irritated when I asked for help and again when I requested she show me the location. At checkout, I shared my experience with the cashier and was informed that one of the employees involved was the store manager, Patrick, which was especially disappointing. This experience has left me no longer a fan of Hobby Lobby. Customer service matters. Please do better.

I really recommend this store because I've been coming here for 4 years and always great service but especially tonight! All the young people working were really patient and helpful!!
