After not hearing back from her for hours, we decided to leave our vacation, not being able to book another property. My husband took time off of work for the first time in years for us to have our first family vacation following the birth of my son, and it was destroyed by the complete lack of care and correspondence from this property's manager, and cleaning staff. My family never got our deposits back ($6K) worth, despite them renting out the homes. It clearly states this in the rental agreement- yet we were never refunded the money. After we cancelled our reservations, multiple attempts were made to discuss the rental of the homes and refunding of our deposits. They will not contact you despite these attempts to communicate both email, phone, and certified letter. I have attempted for over a year to get a response and refund from them to no avail. I have rented with many vacation rentals and without a doubt this company is the worst and not worth losing your money or terrible customer service.

Our family stayed here recently for a vacation. As a whole, our time in South Haven was great and it was nice being with family for the trip, however, we would never stay at this rental home again. Here are our reasons why... 1. False advertising on the website. The rental was advertised to sleep 14 but it only slept 12 - even then we were all literally on top of each other. We also happened to find ~10 spelling / grammatical mistakes on the website, which leads us to believe this is not a professionally run rental property. 2. Lack of privacy. It is important to know that one of the bedrooms is actually a loft with no doors. It is very hard to sleep in the loft because of the noise of your family/friends having to walk down through your room to use the bathroom at night (this WILL wake you up). No air conditioning made it really warm at night. In general, the loft just sucked. 3. Bathrooms were horrible. There were only 2 showers for 14 people! On top of that, one of the showers was a very small European-style shower, with dirty shower liners that you desperately try to avoid touching - but can't. The bathroom door had a flimsy folding door that connected to one of the rooms and it barely provided a barrier between the two (the adjoining room enjoyed both light streaming in from the bathroom, as well as the glorious odors and sounds that emanate from a bathroom). 4. Home structure. The 2nd floor on one of the units literally bounced. We had little confidence in the structural integrity of the building. You can hear things too easily from room to room. Also, the steps throughout the home are very steep and you need to be careful navigating them (unless you are a serious mountain climber). And these are just our major complaints! Overall we recommend not staying at this rental. Instead, consider a more professional rental company.
