Recommended by a local who is a regular, this was one of the first meals I had in Bordeaux. Very popular place, so best to call for a reservation.
Generous portions, great seasoning (extra spice on the side if you wish), and an owner who not only speaks perfect English, but might treat you to a shot as a nightcap:)
We went early by French standards but the place was full at French dinner time around 9pm. All of dishes had tender proteins, the favorites were the jerk chicken and ropa vieja (beef). We ended up taking half of most dishes home to be enjoyed the next day.
Keep in mind in France spicy usually means mild by USA standards, so ask for spice on the side if you want some heat.
The rum drinks are strong and tasty with house made infusions, so try at least one! read more
